Okay....found lots of successful installs on another forum....and here's what they used to get the rearview cam integrated into their Jeep RER radios:

MyGIG Lockpick v.3 with AV9003 multimedia harness
Any rearview camera

It sounds like this setup works easily. It will automatically turn the camera on when you shift to reverse....or you can double click the Uconnect button to get it to go on when you're not in reverse. There was also info on mounting a front cam to assist in parking...or navigating over tough rocks, holes....or even Hummers...

I installed this on my 2010. It works great and was very easy. Must have mygig nav radio tho. I installed a front camera that turns on when my speed is below 10. Great when you have a lifted jeep. Also can use nav functions and watch DVDs when in motion. (passengers offcourse) also has video out cables for headrest monitors.

I'd like to know this too. I plan on installing a dash cam so I can see how cool I look driving my Jeep.

Backup cameras are nice.....they minimize backup accidents. Also...it makes it easier to scope out the scenery behind you...(whenever nice scenery happens to be there).

ParkView Camera on MyGIG RER

Has anyone installed a ParkView back-up camera with the MyGIG RER without using Lockpick / Nav-TV successfully? Does the dealer have to turn-on the feature (update the VIN)? Can it be done by accessing the Engineering or back menu?

I've got the factory mygig and the commander backup camera. As far as I know, it didn't require anything at the dealer. I think it was plug & play. The guy that built my jeep installed it.

Camera is in the license plate.

I did add a module that allows the backup camera to display at any time, not just when in reverse (it also allows for movie play at any time) It's the allgig from Navtv. It worked before the Navtv device, but only in reverse.

NAV-TV Corporation: ALLGIG-USB-HS Video in Motion bypass for Chrysler and Jeep
