Install a WIX filter and call it done....put the money towards a beneficial mod.

X2. It is widely debated that the intake mods do nothing to enhance performance. What is your Jeep currently like? Any mods? What are you looking to gain from the intake mods? Performance? MPG?

Oh and what engine do you have 3.6L Pentastar or 3.8L Caravan. lol

Yup, the 3.6 is actually more of a minivan motor since it was there first.

NO NO NO, everyone got it all wrong.

The CAI is the fist step in a two step process.
After the CAI you then get the AVE heat reduction hood. Now you have a true CAI system.

CAI manufacturers have the best marketing skill since snake oil salesman. Where else can you buy something that makes a good noise and little else for $300. I am sure you can find a noise maker you can mount to the bumper a lot cheap that makes a great air flow sound. There are some vehicles these actually work on but when you have the intake located in the exact same place as stock, how is it sucking in cold air? All it is doing is sucking in more hot air to a computer controlled throttle body that regulates air/fuel mixture to a precise level.

Unless you can actually move the filter box to a location that actually gets cooler air these things are great to suck in more dirt and possibly water.
