Interior Accent Painting

I have a 2010 white unlimited and love the way the interiors look on the new models with some of the accent pieces that complement the paint color. I am looking to paint some of the accent pieces on mine and was looking for any information regarding what i should use? I want to paint the grills around the heating vents, the handle above the glove compartment and possibly some other areas. Any suggestions?

VASYL; your jeep looks great! Quick question what did you use to paint your "trail rated" emblem and key fab? How did you do it? Also, did you paint anything in your interior or was that how it came? I am looking to paint some of the accents white to match the exterior and didn't know what to use.

There is a guy on jeepforum.com who had his accents professionally done at a body shop for $20. He's in Australia.

This is the inside of his Jeep. Its in one of the "expedition" or "camping" threads over on that forum.

Check out the guage cluster...

According to the thread, if I remember correctly he just too the dash off, unplugged the instrument cluster and then removed the gauges. I'll see if I can find the thread on JeepForum.com and link it here.

Jeep/MOPAR sells pre-painted accents.... But I'm sure they are WAY over-priced....so pass.

Vasyl...you have sold me on the Tuffy.....now I just need another $500 bucks...

2010 they just twist out. I believe 2011 n newer you need to use a small screwdrivet to push a tab inside of the vents

To the red accent painted jeep, that setup is incredible. Check out his shifter knob...it looks like a huge spider encased in a clear glass ball. I think the only thing that could make that cooler was if it was a piece of amber.

Did mine in green, didn't like the silver much.

I just did this on my 08. check out the link.

Automotivetouchup.com Touch Up Paint, Aerosol Spray Paint and Touchup Paint Accessories | AutomotiveTouchup | 888-710-5192

They have great products at reasonable prices. I ordered primer, base coat, clear, and the extras to do the job from them. I will take a pic and post it up tomorrow. Although my color is Jeep green and not quite as vibrant of a color to pop like some. But This is definitely a way cool mod. Very easy too.
