Interior light stays on (doors on and dimmer checked)

2010 2 doors manual windows
I have that car for 1 week. No problem until last night. I left the doors open while putting the rear windows back on. After I was done, I closed the doors but the dome light stayed on. I have never removed the doors...
So I turned the engine on and the light went off. Turn the engine off, light on, and got out of the car. When I closed the door, magic, the dome light shut off.
I came back 15 min later to try again (I don't believe in magic). Guess what, it stayed on...
I will try to get with the dealer, but I kinda know the answer: it's a preowned or they all do that...
If anybody has a clue on how to fix that, I woulda really appreciate it.
Thanks

It's probably upset that you keep calling it a car.

Did you try pushing on the light? That will turn the light on and off.

Most likely a door wire has separated from the plug. If the doors are taken off w/o knowledge of how the plug separates, undue stress is imposed on the wires and usually separate at the plug. My 07 did the same thing when I bought it used. Took a while to find it and repair. 230 lb fat man under drivers dash wasn't my idea of a good afternoon. Diagnosis by unplugging each door wire one at a time. Make sure you know how the plug works. There's a pic and explanation somewhere online, I've seen it. Radio will continue to play after you shut off the ignition for 30 seconds but, dome light should be out. My 2cents.

I tried, but no matter what, the light stays on...

Thanks for the tip. I will try that tonight. As I explained, it worked before (and I haven't removed the door since), so maybe it is just a loose connection.

Did you try waiting? It takes about 30 seconds to turn off once you close the door.
