interior lights

So working on my jeep in a parking garage I need the interior lights to do so.

So my question is, how the heck do you get them to stay on for more then 1 minute. Even if I leave all doors open they shut off after 1-2 mins.

I feel dumb for asking this.

I've rotated the dial on the headlight knob to turn them on. But after 1 min or so they shut back off. Rotating that knob will turn them on again. But only for a min or so.

What am I missing.

I'd like to know too. I'd also like to know if there is a way to make the dome light (at least) come on when the engine is turned off.

Your jeep is trying to save you from a dead battery. Try turning the key ON without starting the car.

Mine come on when I open the door, and stay on for about 15 minutes if the doors are plugged in. If the doors are not plugged in, the lights go out after about a minute (otherwise they would be on when driving I guess).

Do you have your doors unplugged or off?

Nope. They are factory set and have never been off unfortunately.

Ok so test results...key in any position if the door (any door) is open the Jeep assumes doors are off. Therefore shuts interior lights off regardless of setting after a min or two. Doors shut key in any position, interior light switched on lights will stay on forever.

So in any case if you want interior lights doors must be shut.
