So my JKU is now a year old and has 24,000 miles...First issue is my steering wheel is starting to fall apart.. the stitching is coming lose and the so called leather wrap is decaying on top. The second is that the drivers seat is starting to rip just above the handle to adjust hight. Anyone else have these issues?

Cloth seats not leather, was told by dealer they would only cover under warranty if JKU had under 12000 miles, they consider them wearable items. Also it's never left outside (garage kept) and has had a spiderweb shade since day one

That sounds like unmitigated BS. The whole damned car is a wearable item....

Theres an implied expectation of quality that does NOT include a steering wheel or seating to last only 12000 miles....in a $30+ plus piece of merchandise nonetheless.

The dealer needs a little education in what "bumper to bumper" means.

A common mistake people make is to apply Armor All to leather: it will break it apart.

Have you applied Armor All to the steering wheel?

Make sure to use leather conditioner; haven't had any issues.

Good luck,

Aldo
