is is possible to get rubicon wheels on a sahara from the factory?

I'm the sure answer is an obvious no.

But has anyone had any success special ordering in a configuration that isn't listed as being available?

I like the look of the sahara, and it will meet all my needs. However, I much prefer the wheels/tires on the rubicon. I plan on ordering, any chance Jeep will permit this? I don't want to just add them later as for that price I may as well get the rubicon.
I'd be ok keeping the sahara wheels, but my search has not turned up any decent tires for 18" wheels.

In that same vein, in the alternative, any thoughts on ordering a rubicon and substituting the rock rails for the side steps?
(& who decided that to select the $100 body color fenders that it would be a good idea to also require the $1700 body color top? I'm not a fan of the plastic due to how it poorly it ages and discolors)

If you get the Sahara, you can either have your dealer make the wheel/tire swap and give you some "credit" for the Sahara wheels/tires or readily obtain Rubi wheels/tires off of Craigslist and then resell your Sahara wheels/tires there as well. However, I'd just get aftermarket wheels/tires and then sell the stockers on Craigslist. Done.

If you get the Rubi, going to side steps from rock rails is a downgrade. Google "Ace Engineering" and spend $300 to get a top quality set of steel side steps you could mount over your rock rails so you have both function and protection. If you really must have the Mopar ones, you'll easily find somebody who'd trade with you. Hell, I will.

Just remember, you're getting a jeep--there's nothing you can't do aftermarket.

As mentioned before, you can't order it that way, but the dealership will work out a deal to swap for you.

Short answer.... No...

However...you can find Rubi take-offs as people upgrade their wheels.

Don't forget to look at the Sport S...especially in the Unlimiteds.

I have Rubicon with body color top and fenders, had dealer take off rack rails and put on Sahara side steps, these protect side from rocks and mud and door dents from other cars. This way you can have your cake and eat it too!

I'm sure you could buy these wheels an tires then sell your current ones on eBay or Craigslist
