Is it me or there are way more Unlimited Jeeps than there are 2 doors?

I've been looking for a hard top for months, every post on craig's list, here, JK Forum...4/5 people looking to sell or trade their hard tops for soft tops are all Unlimited, the 1 of that 5 with a 2door is half the world away...

frustrating, end rant

Way more Unlimited's. I'm thinking the whole world was waiting for a 4 door Jeep and when it finally appeared...

Have you not noticed that 4dr specific parts are usually released before 2dr parts?

If someone's choice in vehicles that best suits their wants/needs frustrates you, try finding a hobby to relieve your stress.

The dealer we used said 4 door sales are 4 to1 versus 2 door sales. We have a 2door no children. It is great for us but no one wants to jump in the back!!

I went on run last month that had 50 Jeeps 5 were two doors. The four door just offers flexibility to owners and some advantage off road over two doors.

I wonder how many people are going to see the title of this little gem of a thread and automatically assume that it is an attack on two door owners and start flaming away about the virtues of a 2 door versus a 4 door or vice versa, instead of taking the time to actually read what the OP said and figure out that it is in fact a 2 door owner who is ranting because he can't find a used hard top?

if you only include JKs, i would say around here its pretty even. modded 4 door JKs? hardly any as soccer moms and spoiled rich college kids are everywhere.

I screwed up and bought a two door last year. Now I want to tow a travel trailer, so I'm probably going to trade it in on a 4 door.

I love my Jeep, but it's gotta go. I screwed up. I need something bigger. That's life.

Way more 4 drs than 2 drs here in SoCal. Love my 2 dr and woud never get a 4 since I don't need the space and the 2 dr is sportier around town. Also noticed about 1/2 the drivers are women, regardless of 2 or 4 doors...way cool! Many drive an older version. But I live in a military town....

The two doors I see typically have soft tops, that is obvioulsly part of your problem, not as many to be sold.

The thread actually brings up a very good question. What are the actual production numbers of JK 2 door vs. 4 door? Anybody know where those might be found?

I went in to buy a 2D and walked out with a 4D. The 2D just doesn't compare in space and ride quality.

I'm in Columbus, OH. The dealer I purchased from said they usually sell 4-doors 3:1.

Here in southern California I see way more 4 doors then 2 doors. Hate to say it but all the fourdoors seem to be driven by soccer moms around here.

Way more 4 doors than 2 doors around here too. Seeing as how I'm 27 and don't have kids yet, I consider myself lucky enough to be able to enjoy owning a proper 2 door jeep

There is a higher ratio of JKU to JK here; but the majority of the JKUs are bone stock, whereas many of JKs are modded with lifts, aftermarket tires/wheels, lights, etc.

It's just sad how ugly the 4drs are stock. 4drs have to have bigger tires otherwise they're unbearable.

I wonder if Pat or someone else has access to the demographics of Wrangler purchases. MOST, not all 4 drs are driven by women.

Definitely are more JKUs around than JKs. 90 percent of the time when I see a JK it's an unlimited... Driving on the road of course.... There's like 1 4 door on the lot at the dealership. They sell em all!

Personally I don't need all that space... So I couldn't see myself driving one. But things happen and you have to haul kids around... Then I'll buy one!
