Is it OCD?

I have all the mods i need. But i still want more. Could this be OCD?

How many of you have it?

How many of you order mods just because you can/want to?

Are there any shrinks out there that can help?

I have OCD with a conscience. I can afford the mods but think that I should wait a little. Its kind of like letting the fat kid go in the canndy store and telling him to eat. I don't want to eat too much too fast and end up hating candy!

Well said, lol.

Part of me wants to do it all at once because I know what I want to do and I want to get it done, but the other part of me wants to wait and do it a bit at a time and enjoy the ride. Gives you something to constantly look forward to.

You're ok. Every human being needs to exert their time, energy, and money into something. Some people go out to bars every single night, some people keep popping kids out, some people gamble, etc. Whatever it is, it's a form of control that every human being needs in order to be happy and healthy.

If modding your jeep is what gets you up in the morning, gets you motivated to do a good job at work, and let's you experience controlling something, then good for you. jeep modding it is.

Enjoy it!

if you do it right, it's "CDO" [Carefully Detailed Order instead of the random 'OCD' pretense of 'disorder'] {all posted tongue-in-cheek but without suitable emoticon available} and the wife has her own version that can usually be overcome if proper study of the symptoms of her own affliction is carefully studied.....

See? And here I thought it was OMD (Obsessive Mod Disorder) or OJD (Obsessive Jeep Disorder).

It's not fatal but there is no cure.

It's not OCD. It's an addiction.

.....'disorder'......'addiction'.......those words sound like a bad thing .....after all......Jeep is a GOOD thing in the lives of so many of us.....

Although my buddy has spent about $20k in mods to his, much of that came from a lucky hit at the casino....and his wife paid for her BMW M3 from the same hit.....but she didn't LIKE her choice after finding it was tiny, leaked, wasn't all that comfortable and was otherwise Not What She Expected.....result....anger, friction, anxiety, dealer disappointment, unexpected warranty issues and finally the madness of selling it barely 18 months later....

while Jeep Buddy is smiling, driving his dream daily [and still adding stuff].....
