Is my front diff leaking?

While I was under my Jeep yesterday installing my winch, I noticed this. Is that a leak?

I had an oil change last week. Could this just be from a level check during their inspection?

Am I being paranoid?

Probably just residual from a diff fluid change.
Just stick a 3/8s ratchet in there and see if you can't tighten it any. But I highly doubt its leaking.

Hard to tell from the picture but looks like someone smeared sealant all over it.

if it was an issue, you'd be looking at fluid not rust debris.
