Is this a good deal?

Seems like a good kit.

However, what are your intentions? What size tires are you going to run? Any particular reason why you want to go big right out the gate? You may be able to save some money.

Im not sure what my goals are just yet. I am new to this whole thing but I can see myself really getting into it.

What I dont want to do is get junk or cheap stuff and then a year from now have to spend more money to upgrade. I'd prefer to get quality up front and have it last me and allow flexibility down the road.

That being said...I dont know anything about off roading or what i need. Like I said, I VERY new to all this. I dont think I will be doing crazy serious rock climbing, but I do see myself eventually doing some more intense trails.

Hope that makes sense.
