Check out M.O.R.E or even Rough Country for less expensive skid options. I've seen complaints not on their skids but other products. Looks good though. If you want to buy/install and review.... I ain't stopping you

I didn't see anywhere that tells you what it is made of or how thick it is. It looks good. I guess you can e-mail the seller and ask him.

There is one thing you should never, ever skimp on- and that's armor. This is a knock-off of another brand sold on Ebay- where you can also buy jeans and a purse. With no description and no details as mentioned. I've seen people happy with their bumpers- but let's face it, 90% of the population will never USE a bumper for anything other than looks. This has an important function- don't go cheap. The whole point of good armor is that you can wheel without worry. If you cringe every time you hit something its useless (not to mention what happens if it fails). My Off-Road Evo skids have been beat to crap and back. If you wheel once a year on dirt roads then maybe its not so bad- better than nothing I suppose.

I have their rear bumper and tire carrier. I have no complaints on that.

The EVO skids are reasonably priced and are great.

Steel is better than aluminum PERIOD (for armor), but aluminum CAN be made as strong as steel with the bonus of weight savings. However, this requires serious engineering and thus, a serious pricetag (ie Nemesis industries.)
