Is this supposed to have play?

Right below my steering stabilizer that bar moves up and down a bit with the jeep being on the ground not lifted.. Is this normal I believe this is he track bar I'll attach a picture. Thanks Jared-

Yes. Your tie rod will move based on what is necessary for your suspension whilst driving. Completely normal. If your track bar is moving then no that is not normal.

Here's a pic to help you identify suspension components under your jeep.

Up and down is good.

No sloppy all over the place though... That is no good

Thanks it's the tie rod for sure.. it's a tight up and down movement

Woohoo most suspension components don't move at least i thought so i had to be sure or it would eat at me. Thanks for the replies once again very helpful

I remember the first time I found out that the rod moved. I was under there adjusting the drag link and it completely moved north while I was pushing on the link. I sat there for a second under the jeep thinking..."ok what did I just break?"
