Glad I'm not the only one. Got mine on 8/1 also and have about 4600.

Daily driver here as well, and like someone else posted, instant smile as soon as I sit in it. Whether it's sunny, rainy, or soon to be snowy, I just love it no matter what the weather. So much fun to drive.

2200 miles on my JKU in about a month. And I get the train to work.... My other driver is my M3 and as much as I love my M3 , I can't wait for the weekend to drive my Jeep, tinker with it, build things to go on it etc.
Funny story, I wanted a hood mounted high lift Jack mount and saw the price at $100 ish. So decided to build one myself. Well with the cost of the components about $30 and the cost of the additional tools I had to buy, correct size drill bits, clamps etc that I didn't have I am now at about $95 , so take out the man hours, too many to count, 3 things happen here. Firstly I saved myself about $5 !! Awesome way to go me, secondly I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I look at my self made awesome looking parts and thirdly it keep me busy for a couple of weekends and out of the way of my pregnant wife... Problem now is, yep you've guessed it, what's the next project I need to start on ??? So if anyone wants a hand made hood mounted high lift jack mount, they are $95,,, a whole lot cheaper than online. :-) :-) lol.. Sorry getting back to the point of this thread, yes the JK is my DD and I have never felt the need or want to do stuff to my M3 , except clean it maybe... Live the Jeep, love the Jeep.

Mine is my DD, when I can say no the wife. She asks to drive it almost every day, especially when the weather's nice. My commute is about 25 miles each way, some of it through some nasty atlanta gridlock from time to time, but I love every minute of it, even in the manual 6spd.

I'm going to eventually convince her to sell the 09 Pilot and get a JKU so we can tote around 3 kids and get groceries, etc.

d.c. traffic is no fun i used to have an 80 mile commute into d.c. right across from the nats stadium. right up suitland parkway.....thats another story.....since all the movement under brac, i've since moved to springfield just south of the mixing bowl on a section of fort belvior. its 105 miles round trip now. most of it is beltway or four lane driving. i leave by 0230 and depart by 1400 to beat most of the traffic and headaches. i work a compressed schedule and only go to work 4 days a week so that helps a bunch. on days that are nice i get to ride my harley "geezer glide" which helps a little. the cost of fuel goes from around 19-20 cents per mile to 10-11 cents per mile. either one is a great ride .

Yeah, I don't go fully into DC, but i live and work close enough that everything is just mucked up in the morning. I would attempt to change my hours, but it wouldn't really solve my problem unless I tried to work from 6 to 3 or something like that.

I don't generally mind the drive, especially with the Jeep. It will be nice when winter is over and I can enjoy the fresh air.

I lived in the DC area for a number of years. First I lived in Arlington (Crystal City). I hardly ever drove. Took to metro everywhere. That was nice. THEN..........met my wife, married, sold the condo, bought a house near Annapolis, MD. I suffered four years of commuter hell, before requesting a transfer out to CO. Weather's better; the people are nicer; traffic is SO MUCH better. But the people here in Denver think they have bad traffic. They just don't know.....

About 15-30 minute commute depending on traffic... Dallas, TX so it's a crapshoot. Still prefer this over previous VW GTI it replaced. Totally worth it.

"Our" Wrangler is also the DD with about 11 miles one-way to spouses job at the U. Takes about 10 minutes to the city limits and 10-15 minutes for the remaining 2 miles from there to her job (my commute is usually zero miles-retired). Wrangler replaced a Subaru Forester we had and other than the mileage, is superior in just about every way. Certainly can handle much deeper snow and haven't enjoyed the freedom of having a DD and off-road machine in one vehicle since my 68 CJ was my one and only back in the late 60's-early 70's. That said, I still prefer my 55 flatty for the off-road stuff.

I work from home other than one day a week I have to go into the corporate office. I have a company car for work related items, so my Jeep is my DD but my daily driving consists of taking the kids to school and picking them up, other than my once a week commute.

Since my Camaro took a shit on me (again, as it does once every 100 miles), my Jeep has been my daily driver but I have to be honest, I've done my share of taking joyrides in it.

I travel to various locations around the area for work, so mileage could be anywhere from 20-40 miles per round trip.

Just trimmed my commute from 5 miles to 3 miles. It used to take up to an hour some days and now the worst case scenerio is 30 minutes, usually 15 minutes each way

Picked up my first Jeep about 2 weeks ago. Yes it's my DD. My commute is about 30 miles round trip. I love driving it. It's been nice here the last few days and the hard top is in storage so I pull back the soft top crank the tunes and take the local roads home.

I have a 2013 JKU Sport and it is my DD. 28 Miles's each way to the office and tons of running around to various soccer fields with the kids on Weekends. I have had it for just over 2 months and just turned 4000 on the odometer.

Yes it is, I wouldn't want any other kind of vehicle either. Right now I'm at about 60 miles round trip, avg a tank a week getting 19-21 MPG. In a few months it's gonna jump to close to 100 miles round trip, but the new home will be worth the trip. 20 acres of peace and quiet, that's hard to beat.

DD, about 30miles each way. The office sits on the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA; it's a great ride when the weather is nice and I can take off the top. But we're moving in July, it'll be closer to home, maybe 10 miles, each way.
