Its a Jeep Thing

I recently bought a 2011 Rubicon. So on the 3rd day of owning it my wife decides I have to take her Christmas shopping and we were taking the Jeep. I agreed of course, not only cause I didn't have a choice, but if I'm gonna follow her all around then at least I get to be in my Jeep. So we pull into the Best Buy parking lot and as we're parked and she has one leg out the door, I tell her to get back in and that we can't park here. She complained and wanted to know why, but I just told her to trust me and that we couldn't. I then proceeded to move 2 rows over and back in next to a fellow Jeeper!! She looked at me like I was completely nuts!!! The only thing I could say was, "It's a Jeep thing and you wouldn't understand!!"

Good boy. Stay on her, she'll come to the dark side eventually. It is always necessary to do that when you see another Jeep. Its a gift to your fellow Jeeper to come out and see that another Jeep choose the spot next to his/her. Always puts a smile on my face.

Yep, my wife thinks I've lost my mind over doing this too. We dropped by home depot the other day and I was heading towards a nice close spot and looped back up the next lane instead to park farther away when I noticed a jeep parked back there. Wife was shaking her head the whole time. She also thinks I'm a goof ball for waving at all of the other jeeps, but I've got the kids on board now and they get pissed when they don't get a wave back.

Just wait until there's a huge mound of snow plowed into one parking space, and you just have to have that spot.

My wife asks me if I'm going to park next to Hummers so they'll feel bad.

I am really excited to get mine! Finalized the deal today...over the phone...hopefully going tomorrow to pick it up, weather permitting. I know, I know....you say it's a Jeep and it will go anywhere...but it is a brand new car and I really don't feel like driving home stressed over driving through 6" of fresh snow for 60 miles....like Rainman, I am a good driver, it is the others I am worried about.

My wife has gotten over the fact that I own the roads and the parking lots where ever I go. It's like my Jeep nucleus and I am attracted to other Jeeps. It is not arrogance, it's just a brother/sisterhood and a Jeep thang.

They don't get anything...I unfortunately know a few of them. They like their $60,000, plastic dash, 10 MPG beasts

A-men, brother!
I did the same thing at Home Depot last weekend
Sadly, I had forgotten my phone. We had 2 TJ's, a YJ, a GC, and a Cherokee all lined up!

I was kinda nervous that I was the only one. I kinda get a twitch when I see that glorious snow mound. Every spot in the parking lot could be open, but I can't control it. I black out and all of the sudden I'm on top of the snow mound, and my girlfriend is yelling.

I was honored to find an old school Jeep parked next to my JK at Home Depot today. Pretty cool.

Thats Funny,

Just this morning i was taking my wife to work, because she will not drive in the snow. (we were in the YJ).

At the only redlight in our small town.
I was sitting there waiting to turn and a TJ pulled up to the light accross from me. while we sat ther we seen 2 more jeeps(cherokee's).
My wife stated that there was only 4 vehicles on the snow and ice covered roads this morning and they were all jeeps.
I said " its a jeep thing"lol.

I drop the little lady off at the door, then look for a Jeep to park next to. If I don't find one, I put the front tires on the curb.

I did this at breakfast. I felt like being civil. First time my wife ever heard the term "mall crawler". She just laughed.

Now, if this had been an old school GC, I would have been honored.

I did like his wheels though. Would they stand up off-road?
