Cool, I don't think it should be used in real hot areas, but I like the idea of using a lower cost vehicle in low threat areas such as non combat theaters.

I watched a show called science of armored cars . IT WAS AWESOME. they went through all the stages of armoring vehicles its crazy how much weight they added in plates. its really amazing what these can go through

I have been back from Iraq for about a year now and would have loved to have had one of those over there. Would have been perfectly suited for what I was doing, base defense. The up armored HMMWV were a bit more than we needed and a standard vehicle not enough, but up armored suburbans to expensive, this would be great.
