Jeep Emblum

Does anyone know if the "JEEP" emblum on the front grill of a 2012 is just on by tape or are there actually pins as well. I wanted to remove it and paint it but wasn't sure how it was attached. Thanks.

Just tape. If you want to paint it black, I would suggest using plasti-dip. Just leave the emblem in place, tape a small square around it, spray away, and peel off any excess.

And welcome to the forum!

Tape. Hit it a bit with the wife's hair dryer to soften and pick it off with your fingernail.
Lightly sand the tops and sides so the paint sticks.
Stick 'em back on when dry.

I removed mine on a 45 degree day by peeling it off.

A little residue remained, but some WD40 removed it.
That emblem now lives on the front of my roll around tool box, second drawer down.

I had a feeling I'd put mine back on crooked. So I used 2" masking tape and cut around the letters, then painted. Took some time but don't have to worry about lining them up or getting them to stick well.
