Says BLD is active in 4H & 4L (at about 1:50).

Is it not 'active' in 2WD??

Edit: Owner's Manual sounds like BLD (TCS) is always active:

Quote:
Traction Control System (TCS)
This system monitors the amount of wheel spin of each of
the driven wheels. If wheel spin is detected, brake
pressure is applied to the slipping wheel(s) to provide
enhanced acceleration and stability. A feature of the TCS
system functions similar to a limited slip differential and
controls the wheel spin across a driven axle. If one wheel
on a driven axle is spinning faster than the other, the
system will apply the brake of the spinning wheel. This
will allow more engine torque to be applied to the wheel
that is not spinning. This feature remains active even if
TCS and ESC are in either the “Partial Off” or “Full Off”
modes. Refer to “Electronic Stability Control (ESC)” in
this section for further information.

Doesn't BLD = TCS?

The acronym BLD does not appear in the Owner's Manual. TCS (Traction Control System) does, and is described the same as what I assumed BLD is. I could easily be missing something here??? But, I think the narrator just misspoke when he suggested BLD was available in 4X only.

TC cuts power and apples breaks to keep you in control.

BLD apples breaks to spinning wheel increasing torque to the others.

Very confusing. Could be off

I think we both may be right.

BLD is a subset of TCS, which is a subset of ETC, and is always on.
TCS controls wheel spin with brakes (BLD) and power reduction.
When ETC is turned off in 2WD or 4H, BLD stays on.
ETC is off by default in 4L, but BLD remains on.
So, we do have BLD in 2WD.....

That is, if I read this article linked by daggo66 a while back correctly:

I noticed it said the Rubi can use it's lockers in BOTH 4Hi and 4Lo. If true, that's new, isn't it? I thought you had to be in 4Lo to turn on the lockers.

Ahh, yes. I misheard the video--it was talking about the sway bar discos being functional in both 4H and 4L, not the lockers.
