Jeep jamboree-rubicon trail questions

Has anyone here done the jamboree at the rubicon trail? They call it a 10 rating, but I find it hard to believe they are taking folks through the real rough sections...

I'm considering signing up, and I have a JKUR, on the 2.5 kit with 315/70 duratracs. Std rails, bumpers, and belly armor. So I guess my question is how I'd fare with that setup on the route portions they use...

Thanks for any input...

They have the regular groups and an easy group. The easy group does almost the same trails but bypasses some of the obstacles. You will be fine especially with belly armor. Just be easy on the skinny pedal. You can still break an axle or driveshaft.

When I went to the Black Hills Jamboree a couple of years ago, they checked each jeep and placed them in groups, according to certain criteria. A couple of the criteria were lift size and tire size. I am guessing that probably do the same thing at each jamboree.

That's exactly what they do. They go over your Jeep and then talk to you as well. They decide what group you will go with. And yes, the Rubicon Trail is a bear. I would want more done with my Jeep than you have done but that is my opinion.

If your setup...lift with min 35" etc, drive with the big brain its not hard IMO. First time I went in to the camp took 2.45 hours. That's not taking any bypasses. Taller lifts and 47" will make it easyer. 2 door JK's will have a easier time than a JKU in some spots.

Heading there this weekend for the jamboree. Got a 2013 JKUR with a 3.5" Lift and 35"s. I don't plan on taking any bypasses. Pumped.

no doubt. i'm actually hitting a bunch of spots over the next three months. I'll be creating a thread with pictures and video of each spot, but will be linking to them all from this one main thread about my trip if you want to keep track. Just posted some from superlift in hot springs last night.
