Sick. One of the most extreme builds I've seen. Love the jeep truck look. I've been drooling over the gladiator idea for years. I'm looking forward to the end product.

Well that is bad news- "ONE WAY KIT"

I was really interested in this and my wife even said "that is something we should look into"..(I about fell off my chair!!)...when I showed it to her last night, I had thought you could go back and forth with it...I don't think spending that much MORE on a kit that is keeps it like a truck is worth it...a back and forth kit, hell yeah!, but not a one way kit

The "one way" part is what attracted me to it. It makes it more unique.
I am pumped for the end result.

One of the dealers near me has done a few of these, they usually have one on the lot, I stopped by yesterday and looked one over, they are pretty cool.

don't get me wrong I like it but I think it since it is a one way transformation it would be a better as a model offered by the dealership...at least would save some money...instead of paying for the stuff you'll take off and not be able to use

+1000

I would buy one today if they factory-built them and priced them between the 2- and 4-door JKs.

I think Jeep was trying this as a test market to see if there was enough interest.
I would love to see Jeep actually manufacturer a Jeep truck, but until then.....

Also, You can sell the leftover items. I had no problem doing that.
I like the kit idea, makes the jk8 that much more rare.

So awesome to know how much work actually goes into this setup, thanks for the updates! BTW I would bedline the interior, grab some half doors and drive it just like that lol.

Looking great!

I have one question though.

Obviously the soundbar won't fit back in with the modified rollbar. Do you lose the rear speakers completely or are they remounted in some other fashion?

Yes you do lose the soundbar, so unless you remount them somewhere else, you lose them.
I started with a Sahara, so I have the subwoofer from the rear. I am going to see if i have enough room to remount it behind the passenger seat.
