Jeep key

Ok wife took jeep into dealership today for parts that where back ordered. Now my key won't open the electric locks or alarm or run the jeep. Service department closed for night. Hit me with the fix.

The Jeep won't start? Yikes. The solution to the locks is that you can manually lock them.

Oh, and replace the key battery. Then check your fuses.

Hey Peter,

Really sorry - I have absolutely no solution or help or advice - nothing helpful for you in this one man.

All I can say is - hilarious. I hope your wife enjoys her new Jeep :-)

Take the day off work tomorrow, make your wife grab you a six pack (her vehicle works, right!?), and spend the entire day on WF. Maybe wash the Jeep :-)

Cheers, and best of luck. Subscribed, just because I'm really curious to hear the cause and fix.

So this is what it says on the work order. 08802801 Wireless Control/Sentry Key - Test and replace Module, Wireless Receiver.

So the wife took it in for the work with her key. They never said anything about the other key which was mine.

They also replaced control assembly, instrument panel HVAC . That was for the AC cutting in and out.

I keep all spare keys in one location at home. Sucks if I'm out someplace and lose one, but at least I know where a spare is. They're expensive!

If you have 2 working keys you can program an extra one yourself. Its in the manual.

This saved me a headache - my neighbor was freaking out because his truck wouldn't start. He had swapped keys with his wife, after he took the truck to the dealer for an ignition issue. They had reprogrammed his key to work, but not his wifes. He neglected to tell me this upon coming over to see if I could figure out what was wrong, but this thread saved me from spending too much time on it.
