$450 amps are fine... but not when they only push 100W x 4 and 500W x 1. The 4 chan I listed is $270 and pushes 125-160W x4 into components and is designed to be 2 ohm stable. I ran 14ga to all speakers when ripping the factory stereo. I also keep component and woofer amps as separate units. Personal preference, of course, but as someone who has spent many thousands only to discover all the points of failure, that's how I run my jeep.

Big thumbs up to JL Audio amps... ran them for years without any trouble. Sound great and are a not that much more money.
