Question Jeep Sport Stock 16" wheels, 33" tires?

I plan on purchasing a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport soon! I'm trying to beef it up with as little cash as possible... So far I have an idea of what I would like to do which includes; Rough Country 2.5" lift kit with shocks, and BF Goodrich 33" All Terrain Tires. If I install this simple coil lift will I be able to put 33" tires on my stock 16" wheels? Or do I need to purchase wheel spacers? Also, the RC lift comes only with coils and shocks... how will that ride if everything else underneath is all stock? I'm looking for affordable, but I want to do it right.

I may be wrong but I think the stock rims will be too narrow. On my last Jeep, a YJ I had 31" tires and they were on 8" wide rims.

Honestly, the base 16" wheels are 0.5" narrower than the Sport S/Rubi/Sahara wheels and the backspacing is a little less. So I personally think that 285/75-16s (33s) would fit on the base wheels better than they would on the upgraded wheels, in terms of rubbing.

In other words, they won't rub as bad as the stock 17s or 18s will with 33s. I would try it and see how it works....you can always get spacers after the fact if that's what you need.

Yeah, you'll need wheel spacers unless you get a very narrow tire--a pretty rare size. I'd also want at the very least brake line relocation brackets and a rear track bar bracket.

RC doesn't have the greatest rep, btw--but the stuff is certainly inexpensive. I've heard their coils tend to sag over time, but I've never seen it confirmed.

I think I heard that somewhere too. Might be right on that, so *maybe* no spacers.
