Ok, so I know we didn't pay a thing for the Jeep wave program, But 10 months after getting my new Jeep, I get the "Jeep wave welcome packet" in the mail yesterday. Seriously Fiat/Chrysler a crappy plastic membership card and two tiny 1 inch decals! I mean why not the hand wave decal, something that connects to the the spirit of the jeep and the program not two decals that are sized for my daughters Barbie Jeep. :deadhorse:Maybe I should just stop looking for logic and common sense from Fiat/Chrysler.

LOL, i got mine last week, bought in October.

Has anyone used the free oil changes? Did you have to provide any specific info to your dealer or is it all in their systems?

I did do some data entry on the website (go to Jeep.com, Owners, Jeep Wave), not sure if that's necessary or not for the oil changes.
I can see my full maintenance record on there.

Funny I got mine yesterday too and I bought my Jeep about 8 months ago.
I have used my "temporary" Jeep Wave card a couple times for free oil changes but figured the permanent card was never going to show up.

I don't get the stickers, why would I put a plain "Jeep" sticker on my Jeep?

I get constant reminders to "register" I have no interest. Anything that is FREE is usually either not free OR it's such a PIA its not worth it.
I change my own oil so that is of no interest.
IF they'd just send me a few oil filters for free that wouldn't suck.

Same here. I had recall work done and I needed an oil change. I usually do my own vehicle oil changes but mentioned I needed and oil change. They told me I get 3 free ones with the Jeep Wave program.

In this case a free oil change equals a free oil change. I'm sure the next time I go back they will tell me I need service way earlier than Chrysler/Jeep recommends. But I will just tell them stick to the oil change.

Speaking of the Jeep wave ... It is really waning in my area. In the past 2 days I have had 10 JK's not wave back. I feel let down every time this happens. I cannot be alone in this feeling, right?

Here in RI and southern Mass it's different where you are, most of the beach communities still wave, it's 50/50 here in the suburbs. I had to go to my daughters state divisional swim meet this past weekend so I had to drive thru Bristol and Newport RI in Friday afternoon rush hour, I swear the closer I got to the water every 4th vehicle was a jeep and all I did was wave for the 40 minutes I was stuck in traffic.

My experience, it's mostly middle aged women in 4 doors that are the most clueless (In general) followed by old dudes in 4 doors.
Sometimes the mega modded MC's won't wave either - I guess they are too cool.

Ya ever seen the movie "the Purge" ...... that would be a fun way to solve the lack-of-wave issue. :bop:

Haha this. Mostly the girls, and they look at me like I'm a weirdo. Or their jealous lol. Don't hate me because I'm 39 and beautiful. Nothing like the satisfaction of Both parties waving with grins of admiration for each others work. Mostly between other bros and the coolest women on the planet.

I bought my JKU in May and just got the packet last week too. Maybe they ran out of them since Wranglers are so popular lol. I have used the free oil change as they had me in the system (it was the dealer I purchased from) but I told them that I like to do my own tire rotation. (That way I can ensure the lugs are torqued so if I ever need to change a wheel on the side of the road I'm not SOL because someone gunned the hell out of them.)

I got my Jeep Wave packet about a week ago. I did all the registering online. Some of the discounts are actually quite good. I saw a pair of Maui Jims on sale for a lot cheaper than anything I could find online. As far as waving...I wave at everyone. Mostly teenagers and people with their head in their phones don't wave back. Call it 50% return rate here in middle TN.

I've used the oil changes. Setup appointment online and then walked in and said I'm part of the Jeep Wave. They checked in their computer and 30ish minutes later I was back on the road.

Driving a manual in the "city" its usually just throwing two fingers from my steering/left hand up, unless the doors are off and then its closer to the motorcycle wave.

I must have gotten lucky with the jeep wave welcome pack, I got all kinds of cool stuff including a new set of LED's they said every 100th person who signs up gets something cool.......just pulling your leg lol.

I am another Old Dude that always waves. Most of the ones that don't wave back seem to be these young preppy's that have all the chrome you can get. Clueless.:atomic:

I got this packet yesterday as well... Bought Gretchin back in June. Anyway it's sort of useless for me..? About the Jeep wave though, I always initiate waves to fellow Wranglers and even some trail-hawkers. I hate to say it, but you guys are right... the 4 door drivers, that are women are notorious for not waving back.

Now...I'm a black guy, so I can say this guilt free... but I've noticed that the few um...minorities that I do seeing driving Jeeps, also don't really wave back either...

That being said, I love when I'm driving in the morning, on the way to the gym or work... and I get a friendly vibrant wave, makes my mornin'!

I just got my JKU 2 weeks ago, received a welcome call from Jeep Wave, I could have sworn she said I'd receive info with in 6 weeks, hmmmm.

I guess I fall into the middle age woman category, well at least I didn't say it out loud. I'm a waver, of course I've already got the wave down since we own a Vette, I've had lots of practice. It does seem most women don't wave, I did have a gal (yes, let's use the term gal) smile and happily wave back yesterday. Most of the men wave back, 2 fingers off the wheel and it seems the younger kids aren't too well informed. :wavey:

Nice, girl on girl wavin' action :p

Yea I do the '2 fingers off the wheel wave' or a full on, five finger wave if I have the position and time.

What we need in this thread is an artist, to draw out the types of wave's we've seen and give names to each type of wave!
