I am still stuck on the 47k for a Jeep. In my house with my spouse for 47k the word Ferrari or Porsche sure better be on the title at that price. But to each his/her own, if you can afford it go for it.

It is the biggest video game launch in history, according to Activision. I've heard upwards of 7M people a day playing the game. The Wrangler is a part of the game, it's more than just selling an MW3 edition. The same exact vehicle, is available for use in the game. That's a pretty big contributing factor I would have to imagine. Not everyone can or knows how to mod the vehicles themselves. I know how, but I choose not too, I like my tech to make some money because when I need something he is very accomodating.

This is the point of the forum, in my mind, to discuss how people modify and interact with their vehicles.

Many have tried and failed, many have sucessfully suceeded but I doubt they have been as impactful as Activsion and COD. I know a lot of the racing games use unique version of the brand's vehicle Undeground, Need for Speed and the whole series of GT.

They did ask and I agree not everyone will agree with MW3.

If YOU like it and it appeals to YOU...that is all that matters. My wife hates my Jeep...thinks it is the most impractical vehicle ever. She has never even driven it out of the drive way. I despise her crappy-ass Toyota. I feel like I'm in a clown car when I drive it.

I love my Jeep...alot.

I don't know if I would buy a 50k Ferrari or Porsche; sounds like a death trap. Seriously, I'm sure most of the folks with equally modded rubis have total spendings near that mark; does it really matter that the difference is they are getting the mods financed?

No. OP asked for our opinions. Not "tell me what I want to hear 'cause I'm buying it anyway." People's responses, including the negative ones, have been pretty respectful. Purpose is to give him respectful honest feedback IMO. It probably is valuable to him to know whether or not (and how many) others chuckle at the WM3 or not. If I try on a coat or tie or something at the mall, and I ask "Does this look okay?": I don't want people saying "Oh yeah, dude go for it!" when they think it looks silly. Not helpful. The OP knows whether or not he likes the WM3. He's not asking whether or not he likes it. He's asking for other peoples' honest opinions about whether they like it. Not everyone will agree, but it's better to have honest, rather than all falsely-positive, answers. There's nothing wrong with the people who like it, but there's also nothing wrong with people who don't and were were asked for their opinions not to lie about how much they love it or remain silent.

So did VW, with the "King Kong Edition" Touareg: Volkswagen Offers King Kong "Crew Member" Edition Touareg

If you like the mw3 version but dont like the video game badging then why not just get the AEV package. You can still get it through a dealer and financed and a warranty. http://www.aev-conversions.com/vehic...ngler-packages Same stuff that comes on the mw3 plus some.

I think we both missed his question. He is asking if he missed anything in his explanation of why he would want it. Not for other's opinions of how they feel about it.
To that point:
If OP is planning to replace all of the parts on it in the next year, then any price would be over-priced other than a base model. If OP is fine with the look or is not planning to change it for quite a while, if the price is under the $47k that he priced similarly equipped Rubis, then I would say it is a good deal and that his understanding is spot on. Unfortunately, sounds like his wife is not as thrilled about the stereotype that she is associating with the package. However, I think that we have more than established that it is perspective dependant.
Maybe the OP can give us a little more insight on what he is hoping for in a response?

Seems like he wants to know whether or not his wife is being reassonable, which likely will depend on whether you agree with her assessment of the COD Jeep.

I'm still holding out hope for a "Cummunist Mutants from Space" Special Edition Rubi.

What I really want to know is how come the "of" in COD gets an "O," but the "of" in MW3 doesn't get an "O." Shouldn't it either be "CD:MW3" or "COD:MOW3"?

45 year old gamer here.
(My wife also supports my gaming. Her brother and I have been gaming online together for over 15 years.)

It just seems to me that the Rubicon is better bang for the buck where it really counts -drive train as opposed to cosmetics.

I look at it this way---if the OP likes it and can justify $47K (or whatever it costs) then go for it. Personally I wouldn't invest that much money in a vehicle that shows off that I'm a "fanboy" of a video game. But at the same time I have Harley-Davidson stickers all over the butt of my rig---because I'm also a biker. So maybe I'm guilty. Who knows. I also like the Harley Edition F-150 Ford. So maybe I'm a HD "fanboy". Probably.

Jeeps are all about "customization" and being individual---to me. I didn't want something pre-packaged that someone else has. So I ordered my parts and did everything in my garage with the exception of the wiring---I paid an expert to wire in an aux fuse box and custom harness for me because I suck at wiring. So if the OP buys the MW3 and starts modifying it then it wasn't money well spent. If he keeps it as is and loves it then---just enjoy it. Seriously...just enjoy it. Coming to forums looking for people to like your stuff doesn't work. It can be a downer at times:-)

What counts most is that you like it.

Because it is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, not Call Duty: Modern of Warfare 3 or any other combination thereof
