Anyone give me advice on the cooling fan on my JK 2.8 CRD diesel please?
Recently noticed fan seems to be running all the time. Looks like its a hydrostatic coupled fan and I don't know whether its meant to run all the time or just when it gets hot. I've never noticed it humming away before, although weather is a bit warmer now than it has been.
If it is only meant to cut in when its hot, what I don't understand is why the fan is running when I start it first thing in the morning - presumably the engine is fairly cool at that time having been sitting in the garage unused all night.
Anyone know how its meant to be operating and whether it sounds like I've got a fault here or not?
Thanks, Johnny :wavey:
