JK Brakes

While driving my new 13 jk seems like it has some sort of electronic braking (like the polaris sportsman 4 wheeler) when I let off the gas it slows down rather quick, doesn't coast anywhere near the wifes grand cherokee. It is stock (for now)with 400 miles on it. Is this normal. Being my first wrangler it just seems odd.

Completely normal. I forgot what they called it, engine braking? maybe. Takes a little getting used to at first, but now I like it on the highway when hitting a off ramp. I can slow down pretty quick without ever touching the brakes.

Thanks for the information, I was thinking I had a transmission issue.

I don't know how long it has been around but my '07 does it also. Must of been a new body style thing for the '07 and up.

Disabling ESP shuts this down. Found out after breaking a wheel sensor wire.

How does one disable the ESP? Is there a procedure in the user manual like there is for the hill assist? Thanks!
