Are you, or any one you know hunting for any sort of the new 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK in a 2x4 or 4x4 Four Door or 2007 two door?

Here is the latest news I have based on the DC Communication System we use to alert us to the latest production information. Up until this weekend the October Production Schedule was “built out” meaning all of the Production Spaces for full for October.

As of today that is the case for the November 2007 Production as well on most JK Bodies

Here is an excerpt from the Hot Information Document:

WRANGLER

(JKJS72)(w/ 24R) Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 Sched. Out November

(JKJM74)(w/ 23C&24C) Wrangler Unlimited 4 4x4 4 DR Sched. Out November

(JKJP74) Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4x4 4DR Sched. Out November

(JKJS74) Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 4DR Sched. Out November

More info on JK options:

Wrangler (JK)

"_ GCH (Half Metal Doors with locks) JK_74 Job 1 date 1/31/07. as of(8/ 14/06)

_ RER (Navigation. Radio) J KJ P7_ & J KJ S7_ Job 1 date 12/ 18/ 06. as of(10/4/06)"

If you are dreaming of getting into a 2007 Jeep Wrangler I’d suggest finding someone you trust placing an order for one from the plant that is equipped exactly the way you want it. According to the informaion I'm gettign in by email from all over the country, if you buy one off the lot you will most likely be charged some sort of market adjustment premium. (Not at Ancira)

Let me know if you need any other information.

Anyone who pays a "market adjustment premium" for a 2007 JK is dumber than a pile of rocks. We all know these will be mass produced and will soon sell for less than MSRP. My guess is that by Thanksgiving you will have JKs unsold on lots and dealers offering discounts.

What about my "affiliate rewards" pricing?

Thanks for the info Greg.

So at this point, you simply order exactly what you want and pay MSRP?

How long before the "gold-rush" is over and things get back to "normal"?

What about my "affiliate rewards" pricing?

Thanks

What about my "affiliate rewards" pricing? "ARP" is in effect now.

The Gold Rush on the PT Cruser lasted 18 months...No telling on what will happen with the Jeep but did you know the 2 Door 2007 Wrangler Rubicon is $1,400.00 less than the same 2006 was?

Well, some people are willing to pay a premium to be the first kid on the block with a new toy.

There are some people that think that anyone who buys a vehicle to drive on rocks is dumber than a box of them.

I'd wager there might be SOMETHING you spend your money on that rises to the level of FRIVOLOUS in someone else's mind. Any hobbies?

LOL

Respectfully,

Dave

Dave: Lots of frivolous hobbies and I have no problem with anyone thinking I am dumber than a box of rocks, but that wasn't my point. NEVER paid a "premium" ($ over MSRP) for any toy or hobby. Paying extra dollars, hundreds of dollars, to be the first kid on the block is what I consider to be a dumb waste of money. My opinion, and we know what opinions are like. LOL

I ordered a 2007 4dr Unlimited X with assorted options on September 22, 2006 and paid $2,000 below MSRP (@ $500 below invoice), not because I wanted to be the first one on my block to have one (though I will be, hee, hee), but because I've wanted it since I first saw it last spring and I think I got a good deal. I agree that some people may be willing to pay MSRP or more for it, especially those who want it now and are not willing to wait the 6-8 weeks for an order to come in, but that might just be the price for instant gratification. There is strong demand for this Jeep already, and you have to recognize that there are alot of impulse vehicle buyers who do not read car magazines, interent auto sites, or attend auto shows, and have no idea what new models are coming out until they see them for the first time on the road and want one. These type people will further increase the demand, thus giving dealers a pricing advantage, until DCX can catch up with production, so it may be well more than a year before there are any incentives for this Wrangler. Deals are there for those who want to work for them, on both sides. Personally, I can't wait for mine to arrive and I'll post pics when it does.

Have they given you a delivery date yet?

I've taken several orders from folks in MA because dealers there all wanted $2,000.00 over sticker.

I'll be shipping them to the dealer that is closest to them who will allow me to do a Drop-ship

Why would a dealer sell one for $ 500 below invoice when he can easily sell one for MSRP or more? That doesn't make sense to me.

I agree that selling a vehicle for more than MSRP can be a bit excessive. But, the market is what the market is. I'm sure everyone was in class the day they explained supply and demand. Maybe your dealer wasn't??? ;) Either way if you bought one for that then you probably got one of the best deals on a new JK in the country.

Hey Greg, I'm sure your place would gladly buy any JK's that dealer has left, wouldn't you? :D

I have no idea what their motivation was, but I am sure they are still making some money, with dealer hold back, bonus for monthly sales or whatever. But like I said, I think I got a good deal and am happy with it. As for delivery, the dealer faxed me a printout yesterday that showed a ship dated of October 24, 2006, but the dealer told me that it takes up to two weeks to get to them after that, so I should have it around Election Day most likely.

Holdback is typically 2-3% of the MSRP. I'm sure at $ 500 below invoice they sacrficed most of their holdback.

I'm glad you got a good deal, a good price and that you'll be getting your Jeep soon.

Just remember, a good deal means different things to different people. ;)

Holy necro thread, Batman!

9 years, that almost qualifies for a prize.

Or something.
