Jk fog lights

Anybody have any idea how to change the bulbs in this set up? This is the rear of my foglights. I thought it would be the twist and pull type like I've seen on others

Interesting that I am pulling mind off tonight (a few days of big fogs) as it stopped working last night, checked wires and getting 12 volts to so must be the bulb.....I got the feeling that it is all sealed and no bulb replacement possible. I will find out in about an hour.

Wild,

What year...they changed the bulb types after 2010. I have a 2011, and they don't look like that. Looks aftermarket to me. Those connectors are not normally factory.

I just pulled mine, opened up the back plate and not too sure how/what to do to replace the bulb, I happened to have a few aftermarket lights so just put a replacement housing/bracket back in since weather is fog light time..will have to look at more tomorrow.

Those in the photo are aftermarket. You have to pull the back cover off and look at how the bulb is set up inside. If it's a H3 bulb, it should be screwed in with a small phillips to hold it. The black wire usually has a ground ring under that screw. The hot wire will unplug from the harness and pull through the rubber grommet and be connected to the bulb. The new bulb will have a hot wire on it and you just push it back through the grommet, put the bulb in place, put the ground ring in place and screw it in to secure the bulb, then put the unit back together with the back cover. I usually ran some RTV on the inside lip of my lights because the seal isn't always good.

It's usually simple and self explanatory once you get the cover off.

Just don't touch the new bulb with your bare fingers. Your skin has oils in it that will stick to the glass and shorten the halogen bulb's life. If you can't wear gloves, then be sure to clean the glass bulb with alcohol to remove any skin oils.
