So does all this hate for bling extend to "tuxedo" jeeps?

Never thought I would like em, but black accented with chrome looks great in my opinion. Better than all blacked out

Some of my friends and family shit bricks when they see the pictures and videos. They ask why you want to do that to a brand new Jeep ? I tell them I bought it to drive wherever I roam. Point is. We are not the majority . Fact is most buy a new JK to drive on the road and never wheel.

I got some looks the first time I showed up at the offroad park with my nicely waxed and polished brand new JK. I think one of them said "are you gonna take that on the trails" And another said man thats pretty clean what year is it. lol At the end of the day it was just another dirty Jeep. Lets face it those of us who wheel a new JK are not right in the head to those who bought "a car". Out there in some other forum is a guy with a bling bling new JKR 10a talking about how silly this guy is he knows who takes his new JK out and beat the shit out of it.

This is Merica! Everybody knows all this stuff and every other problem on Gad's green Earth is Obama's fault (he was born in North Korea (His pappy was Kim Jong-Little-Shlong (pretty sure he's a Muslim too (he also caused global warming... uh, if you believe in that sort of stuff)))). I just hate that man, Obama! He's just so ... black and lazy. He just always tryin to stick it to the good workin white man. He killed this country and all the good workin white folks, made me a lesbian too! Nothing could possibly be worse than Obama, in the White House. Oh dear lord above, please save us from that black man, Obama.

My pet peeve? Ignorance, here on Wrangler Forum and anywhere else. I don't know how many of you have experienced this crap but I've seen plenty. I couldn't care less about what people do with their Jeeps - it's a free country. Get down with your bad self.

A friend of a friend just bought a 10A Rubi hardtop that will never see open air or door removal, never mind any off pavement trail. Purchased simply cause its the "cool" and "top of the line" model. Has no clue what lockers or any other Rubi feature does. Seriously, has no clue.

Here's a few of mine:

1. Soccer moms at the dealership with lifted JKs complaining about the rough ride or leaky top: you bought an offroad built square shoebox on wheels with removable everything. Want a smooth ride? Trade it in for a Lexus! Want no leaks? Get a GC.

2. 20" rims: need I say more

3. Chrome anything but especially, mirrors, door handles and nonfunctional grill trim inserts: really????

4. Forum posts about what color to buy: you should be more concerned with the gearing than color. Also, it's personal preference. Man up and get the color you want.

5. Dealerships and crappy shops installing steering stabilizers as a fix for wobble: the fact that dealers or shops don't know by now that this is just a bandaid and doesn't solve the issue is BS.

6. 35s or larger on stock carrier: if you actually wheeled, that would destroy your tailgate in a matter of minutes.

7. Big lift with axles off center complaining that the ESP light comes on constantly: what did you expect by going the cheapo route?

8. Posts about "it rained with my top off". Wipe it down and drive away. Geez.

Sorry if I created some butthurtedness. Wranglers are not minivans or SUVs. They're the most capable offroad vehicles off the showroom floor that happen to do ok on the street as well. I'm sure ill get some blasts for this so bring it.

Happy 4th!
I agree with all your philosophies.

But I on the other hand enjoy the soccer moms

To the OP i agree that it is just ridiculous to complain about ride comfort in a jeep. if they wanted something smooth riding and plush then point blank that person should have bought a luxury vehicle.

Now for you as well as few other members whom chimed in to complain about what people do with their own vehicles, that they purchased with their own money is completely absurd.... you yourself have a rubicon and you live in good ol florida. what mountains are you exactly climbing ???? WE DON"T HAVE ANY HERE. most you can do is head out to the woods, holylands, red neck yacht club and hit daytona beach. please don't make yourself seem like he-man super jeeper.

I myself live in south florida. If you ever been around here there isn't too many LEGAL off roading areas around broward, dade, and palm beach.

none of that stuff really bothers me. If someone buys a truck or car for the coolness factor and never sees the trails, who cares. If I see a brand new rig on the trail or at least some one trying to learn how to use their rig for the first time (say at Hollister OVH), then I'll more than likely offer to help or to even show them around.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool bleeding heart liberal and I also like people to stay out of each other's business, as long as it has no impact upon others. The left does not have a monopoly on inane concepts!

you probably are not as much of a lib as you think. You may agree with some liberal ideas but true liberals want their will imposed on everybody. A true liberal would not condone off-roading or burning fossil fuels, true liberals do not stay out of other's business if it goes against their beliefs. A true conservative does not care what a liberal does ie you can be as green as you want I don't care if you use toilet paper or if you bath but don't impose your desire to be green on me and expect me to be the same way lol.

Maybe woansleftpeg is what a liberal USED to be. I guarantee you that all the Founding Fathers called themselves liberals. The term has been hijacked by socialists, Marxists and "progressives." They are a illiberal as it gets.

woansleftpeg sounds life a 'true' liberal!

And, if you haven't figured out I'm as conservative as it gets...

...your kinda slow....

Wow, you obviously have no clue what you're talking about. As far as places to wheel in FL, try Ocala, Richloam, holopaw, 5A, Citrus, Withlacahoochee and HardRock, to name a few. Don't know and don't care about South FL as I don't live there. Also, never said anything about being a "super Jeeper"

Since you're from S fL, Lemme guess your rig. ProComp 4", chrome, 22" rock stars on nittos with stock gears. That or stock. Am I close? Lol

Well, I think that we all need to take responsibility for our impact on society but I think that we can do that in different ways. I'm good with personal freedom as long it goes hand in hand with a collective and individual sense of responsibility. If people can't or won't act in a manner that demonstrates a mature and considered sense of respect for others, then it is the state's job to impose those responsibilities upon the individual. Unfortunately, too many people are apparently not willing to act in such a manner of their own free will. When it comes to matters that do not impact upon others, I don't give a flying toss what you do and I'll fight to the death for your right to do it.

The green issue is a thorny one. I'm entirely unconvinced either way, there's way too much conflicting data for a layman like me to make a sensible and considered decision - if legions of Ph.Ds can't figure it out, how the hell am I supposed to have a view worth listening to? One thing I am sure of though is that if we are having an impact upon the climate, and I'm sure we probably are to some degree, if you're not going to do anything to rein in the industries and countries that are pumping god knows what into the atmosphere and destroying huge swathes of land for whatever purpose then there's no point in me turning in my V6 for a Prius.
