JK Rear Bumper Touch up Paint

Got a nick on the grey part of the bumper of the new JK. Chrysler tells me they don't make a touch up paint for this, which is kind of bizzare.

Does anyone know if they actually do? If so, do you happen to know the color code?

If not, do you happen to know the color code of a close match?

I am not sure if this color is universal on all the Jeeps, but I have the Mountain Edition and according to the Jeep.com, when building one like mine, it lists the bumpers as "Mineral Grey"

Thanks

-C

BTW...would like to thank everyone for all the help provided thus far. I know I will need all of your input when the time comes to lift and mod the rig

I know they have "bumper paint" at the auto zones, etc but I question how well paint would adhere to the plastic without sanding or other prep that would make it look even funkier. I figure it would peel off in short order.

FWIW, you can usually find the OEM bumpers for cheap/free if you look around on the various Jeep forums. Heck, I threw out my rear bumper in the trash after begging to give it away for over 6 months.

I answered my own question....I did some digging and purchased it today. Here is the answer just for reference.

Paint Code - PDM
Sales Code - CDM
Color Name - Mineral Grey Metallic Clear Coat

It's listed for other vehicles, but is the same exact color as the bumper covers and rims on the Mountain Edition.

Ah, you're talking about the "silver" covers. I thought you meant the darker gray plastic. With a little scuffing & prep, paint should stick to that shiny stuff. Good luck.
