JK Soft Top Question

My JK is a month old, so bear with me, I'm still trying to figure this all out.
I think I read somewhere that when the top is in sunrider mode you are or aren't supposed to have your windows on/off? Or does it not make a darn bit of difference?

I had my 3 windows off and the top in sunrider earlier today and the way the top was flapping around I was paranoid the thing was going to fly off on the interstate.

I heard that to... Suppose to unzip the back window or roll it up

I don't know.. I've done it both ways. Vented the soft windows and not vent them

I do notice that when any glass window is open, regardless of how much, the soft windows "suck in" a little.

But either way I haven't noticed anything detrimental. As for as windows or top flapping around.

You have to make sure the top is folded into a tight "W". When you can see the screws holding the fabric to the bow.. Your doing it right.
And for the side windows... Make sure you tuck the plastic edge into the door frame area. Or wind will start to peel it back

Sorry I didn't have pics
My top is down for now

Make sure the top is folded in the W position when in sunrider, then make sure the side window plastic clips are tucked into the door surround groove. Also make sure you use the Velcro straps on the soft top frame when in the sunrider position. I either remove my rear window all the way or I unzip it leaving it attached on the tailgate bar and just lay it into the cargo area. If you roll the window up and hang it using the supplied straps you risk scratching it. If you don't lay it down or remove it then you risk stretching out the rear window/ zipper.
Good luck

I tried to use the velcro straps, but I couldn't figure out where to string them through and didn't have the time to look it up. I'm sure I would've been less paranoid if I had the velcro on.

Place the Velcro straps right behind where the soft top frame locks on to the door surround. I'd say about 6-8 inches behind the lock, just wrap the strap around both frame rails.
