I guys, finally great weather for dropping the soft-top down each day, don't have a garage so up every night. I watched the "Bestop video" on doing the up/down and learned a lot from this, great vid! Only one thing, how to store the panels?

I seem to be adding a new scratch every time I try to store them, looking at Bestop storage bag, what do you guys do?

I screwed spring clamps into the garage wall and hang the windows from them when not in use.

For carrying them with me, I use a clover patch bag.

Thanks, checked them out, turns out I was there last March, dropped in to visit the place , lol. I vacation in Ormond by the Sea every March, started as a bike week thing many years ago, but now is a "much needed" ritual, lol. I live in Atlantic Canada, right on the Atlantic coast, same ocean but different weather in winter!

Turns out they sell and recommend the Bestop storage bag! Checked out ordering with shipping, man that "international shipping" kills everything, I then checked out my old faithful Northridge4x4.ca contact, turns out they carry it. They have a Canadian distributor with FREE shipping, turns out to be almost same as ordering within the US, and with our dollar being slightly lower right now, pennies difference on most what they carry!

Will have one ordered within the hour I'd say, waiting for their PayPal i voice to come in... Thanks for the reply and recommendation, much appreciated! With temp in the 90s+ again today... TOPLESS 😍!

I pull the bottom bar from the rear window, lay the window lengthwise and then layer a towel between each window and roll the whole thing up. Just be sure to position the hard plastic tab of the side windows perpendicular to the rear window so you don't bend them when you roll. I use a bungee to hold it all together. Works great for me and no scratches so far.

I do pretty much the exact same thing. I lay a large beach towel flat on the floor, lay the rear window on top of it, then lay the other 2 making sure the zippers or anything else which may scratch the vinyl is against the fabric, not the vinyl. Then I carefully roll it up and wrap a couple of velcro straps around it and keep it in the back. And be careful you don't put anything heavy on top of them or otherwise crease the vinyl. Never had any scatches doing this.

Regarding preventing scratches on the vinyl, the best thing I ever did was admit to myself it will happen and deal with it. Worrying too much about it will prevent you from having the fun you should.

And the back bar. I almost never have it installed, and only do if there is heavy rain. I use velcro straps to attach it across the horizontal rollbar right above and behind the rear seat. It fits perfect, and I also strap my 4' firestik antenna there.

I've got the Bestop roll bag and just tie it to the tailgate bar with the bag's straps. It stays out of view somewhat under the top when it's down. The windows will get scratched...you'll just have to get over it. It stinks but that's just soft top life. Even the lightest touch on something slightly abrasive will do the trick.

Suit hangers! cheap and easy to find:thumb:, clip them on and hang the windows up on some hooks in the garage...

When leaving them at home the tailgate bar hangs between to large nails on the garage wall with the rear window hanging down and the two side windows clipped to the rear window and hanging below.

I have two extremely large and incredibly soft black bath towels rolled up in the back of the Jeep all summer and use these to roll the windows up between them and put the whole bundle on the rear floorboard (JKU).

I also have two smaller versions of the same towels rolled up under the drivers side rear seat for putting on the after swimming at the lake (although there have been other uses for them).

Em52: Yeah Dunlop! Chemin Tremblay is where I grew up. Now I'm in Moncton but I regularly go to Dunlop cause we have family there. dp
I'm actually from the Moncton area, Bouctouche.... Working on getting transferred back home for a few years now. Heading down to Moncton as we speak, visiting my oldest son who lives there, we go down as often as we can. Nothing bad about Dunlop, but we miss our home town and family. Maybe we'll cross paths some day, :)

I put hook and loop velcro on the latch and where the latches rest when they lay down and back. Works like a charm.

I also stopped the return seat belt strap from fluttering in the wind with top down. Went yo the dollar store and picked up a set of velcro elastic straps, wrapped the return belt against the roll bar pillar, works great! Keeps belt snug but not too snug, still slides perfectly. Picked longer ones and when the top all down, wrap around the the entire canvas and over the front lapses, holds everything nice and snug.
