jk Vs. cummins??

A old buddy started talking smack on my jeep i just got. I have had the jeep for a few days. Its my first jeep and i really enjoy it. So i got tired of him giving me grief so i challenged him in his dodge cummins to a climb off do i have a chance?
My jeep has some mods like 3" lift, 35"tires, exhaust system, and bumpers and winch. Has some more stuff on it just forgot what else. I told him id bet him money so should i bet a little or alot?

Sorry, I dont know jack about JK's. But if you want air lockers, I've heard ARB is the way to go.

all depends on the hill!! if it's at all technical the Dodge don't have a chance. If it's just a straight-horsepower run up a hill....JK gonna loose.

Agreed. If there is anything technical on the hill, his dodge is toast. A straight run up, you don't stand a chance.

If it's chipped he might be putting down nearly 1000ft/lbs of torque. Choose a hill with some rocks on it.

This^^ ....or a hill with a little off camber section! 1 ton pick ups don't flex real good. He will have 2 tires off the ground and go nowhere.

The more technical the terrain is the more the Jeep will shine. Unless he loads up the truck the rear, it is over sprung for load capacity and will not provide much traction. If there is plenty of traction and no obstacles just drive up your JK on his bed and enjoy the ride. At least you will finish right behind him.

Pour a little gas in his tank prior, he will still beat you but only once.

Just kidding. I would love to see this show.

A dually will be bouncing all the way up loosing traction also he needs agresive tires or he will have issues with the weight that would be fun run for sure

Make it a tight trail with turns. 1tons have awful turn radiuses. He'll be backing up a lot. He does have weight on his side. That has to be around 8k#. That's a lot of force to keep it planted

Bet a little.
You are not going to win a climb.
Your lift is actually going to hurt you rather then help you.
The Exhaust does nothing for you.
The 35 inch tires are going to rob you of power and the added weight of the bumpers and winch will hurt you even more.

or.. you could bet around $100.00 and then "try" to win your money back with a bigger bet on a differnt course.
And then select a tight single track.

On anything that is semi smooth he will win hands down. I have a 99 Ram 2500 diesel. My JKU can go places I would not even dream of taking the Ram on. Go for a steep rocky hill with lots of ledges. The Ram has power and weight but the JK has agility, shorter wheel base and traction on its side. When you get your lockers re-gear to 4:56 or 4:88.

Depends.

Is it a steep hill with loose sand that neither can make it to the top and you want to see which goes further? In that case the Jeep wins.

Steep and bumpy? Jeep Wins again

Just a "hill" that both can do no problem and you just want to race? Dodge all the way.
