JK wiring harness for towing behind an RV

I am looking at many different wiring plug and play harnesses for hooking to my rv tail lights while towing my Jeep. There is one from mopar and another from cool tech, I have also found a few that look identical to the Cool Tech one listed as for trailer lights being towed behind the jeep. Can this be used to wire to the RV it looks like it hooks up the same way???? any of your electrical guys out there know?

2X Cool Tech the hardest part was routing the wires through frame.

We bought the Mopar harness, had it installed and when we hooked up our 2012 JKU we had no power. I had spoke to the parts manager at our dealership and he warned me about this problem. He spent 2 hours figuring it out, in the rain, the night he was supposed to leave on a trip.

From what I remember him telling me, most RV's are missing the wire that goes to the back for power. I'm not sure the exact explanation, but I know my husband was going crazy trying to figure it out because I sort of forgot to relay the info to him

Apparently it doesn't matter what harness you use if the wire is missing from the RV. Maybe someone with more knowledge can better explain it. Good luck.

Oh, also we have towed our Malibu boat with the RV for years with no issues, so Mike was sure the problem was in the Jeep. It wasn't, oops
What do Jeeps & Margaritas have in common?
Both are better on the rocks.

If you buy an adapter there is a separate ground wire not part of the 4 pin connector you must ground to jeep frame. You also won't have power supply to camper to run 12v fridge unless you run another wire and connect it directly to battery.

Assuming you are towing the Jeep behind RV...

Here's what I use. It is completely independent of the Jeep lights. No disconnect, no nothing. It fits our housing with ease.
