JKS Track Bar, Any Good??

Hey guys, is this one any good, will it work with a stock JKU
no lift??

The dealer tried to change the front bolts and beat the heck out of
my track bar trying to get the bolt in.

I'm looking at also just putting in a OEM one.

the dealer ruined your track bar and now you're looking to buy one on your own dollar? that seems pretty sketch. I didn't think the new bolt kit was that hard to put on. sorry, don't have much advice to offer, just asking a question.

But... Yes. It's adjustable, but make sure it will adjust down to stock length.

I'm taking the part in on Monday and talk to the service manger, I figure
they are going to blame me for half of it for bringing in the bolts.

Hopefully they will man up but I'm looking just in case they piss me off and
I have to buy one somewhere else.

Well even though you brought the bolts in, the tech was an idiot for trying to pound the bolt thru the bushing. Had he not tried forcing it, the track bar bushing would still be fine. That would be my argument.

The OEM TB is satisfactory.

Technician did that at a dealership??? WOW
Wonder what school he went to!!
I would be pissed!! Dealer would be putting in new track bar of MY choice!
Or I would be visiting local BBB.

Agree with all above. I have the JKS front/rear bars and they are very good. Strong and super heavy duty + fully adjustable.

What a bonehead service tech....If you get the dealer to replace for free, I still would drive down to your next closest dealership for servicing on your JK. That is just pure stupidity, what other boneheaded things does this dealership do for regular warranty work?

Do you have a lift on your JK? The JKS are beefy and very easy to adj to get your axle centred. I would go adj track bar route over a re-locate bracket any day.

umm is it loose? is there really a problem, I dont actually see the damage aside from cosmetic. I assume thats the infamous one with the smaller (14mm) bushing. I really think all this bolt changing is a fix looking for a real problem. JMHO as the trrack or panhard bar centers the axle not sure what affect it will have on the dreaded DW unless other items are screwed up.

The bushing is damaged enough that the stock bolt will not go threw it with out it cutting threads. We had to work to get it out, the bolt threads were
damaged also. We had to file the ends of the bushing to get it to start through it. The way it is the bushing will not fit good in the frame bracket
and could cause problems later.

And back to the OP-- Thumper; I looks like they fit every thing from o" to 6" lift; so should fit your stocker, OK.

Thanks Guys, took the TB in and showed the shop manager, he ordered
us a new one, he took photos with his cell phone and I think we was going
to have a talk with the shop guys about this.

I'm thinking of getting a front track bar for my JKU. I have the 2.5" AEV and I know everyone says the axle doesn't move that much, but I say BS. I know I got more than the 2.5" and probably more like 3.25" so mine is moved more than the average. I am also pretty OCD when it comes to that so I am looking at re-centering the front axle. I just can't see how it wouldn't be better than having it not centered. I'm open to other options than JKS, but since I have their DQ's I figured it was a decent choice.

Check out TF as well. Easy to adjust with a drag link like adjuster.

I think I narrowed it down to Synergy and JKS. They all should do what I need them to which is just to re-center the axle.

Go with the Teraflex TB, it is bent to clear the diff cover. The JKS isn't bent the same.
