JKU drag link flip kit?

Anybody have any thoughts on a drag link flip kit for a JK Unlimited? I have stock knuckles with a 4" Currie lift.
Is a flip kit helpful?
Any particular brands better than others?
Is there a need to replace the drag link itself?

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

I am running a kit from Synergy. It seems to be a good kit. It definitely improved steering feel + my Jeep leans less in corners due to the lift of the track bar too.

AEV's kit works similarly. If you need more strength, you can order the Synergy one as a weld-on. You can also weld on the AEV one. In fact you can get Dynatrac to weld it onto their axle for you if you want.

Yes you will need a new drag link. The stock one has a bend that, when flipped, is bent the wrong way.

Several other brands likely operate similarly. When you flip the DL to the other side of the knuckle, it is up about 3". That means that most are working with similar basic geometry.

Currectlync® jk wrangler heavy duty steering system

Has anybody used the Currie
CURRECTLYNC® JK WRANGLER HEAVY DUTY STEERING SYSTEM

It comes with both drag link and tie rod. Any thoughts?

I saw where it says that the Synergy must be used with the Synergy Suspension Jeep JK Front Track Bar Bracket when flipping the drag link to the top of the knuckle.

I have a Currie Front bracket. Would it work with my Currie?

The drag link and tie rod don't attach to the high steer bracket. They attach to the pitman arm and the steering knuckles so the only question is:

Does your Currie bracket lift the track bar about 3"? If so, both the drag link and track bar are being lifted the same amount (the track bar by the bracket; the drag link by being flipped) so it should work just fine because the Currie bracket is doing exactly the same thing that Synergy one does. The only question would be clearances during turning...especially around the stabilizer.

Just recently installed Synergy's kit.

Works as advertised.

Only issue was with their flip adapter. The instructions were changed to use a 13/16 drill bit.
People were using 7/8 and oversizing the hole.
Synergy supplied a special adapter for the oversized hole.
The 7/8 drill bit worked for me and still used the original adapter.

As long as the mount raises the TB 3" it will work.
I think all the kits raise the TB 3" because the DL flipped equals 3"

I bought the "highsteer" kit. So yes it came with their TB bracket and DL.

Bumping this thread.

What are the options price wise for an all inclusive kit? I already have a Synergy tie rod, so was thinking of going with theirs.

I saw Evo has a kit for $299. Seems like the best deal.

Evo/AEV use a stock rhd drag link. The Synergy kit IMO is the best kit on the market and priced about the same as others.

Track bar brackets

The track bar has the Teraflex one on the housing and the one on the frame is still there (you may not see it in the photo).

In the photo, the frame is shortened 2" and a lot of the bracketry is cut off. i installed the Poison Spyder BFH stubby bumper and you have to modify the frame a bit.

I just installed the AEV draglink flip. My original draglink has 145,000 on it and is still good so I have no concerns running the factory RHD part.
I looked at the synergy flip but from what I saw it did not come with the lower Trackbar bracket so I assume then that kit would have to be purchased separately.

That will depend on lift and bumpstop. Draglink flip kits require at least a 3" lift and appropriate bumpstops.

Yes ... You should have already 3" of lift. You have to watch the track bar as well.
Or you can notch the frame and run normal bumpstop and not lose up travel.
