JKU Subwoofer Question

Does anyone know whether the sub that comes with the JKU Infinity upgrade package is powered by its own built-in amp? Or is it powered by the head unit? I am considering buying a used unit and so would like to know. Thanks!

So, you're saying that the sub has its own built-in amp. Is it pretty weak?

If so, is there anything else that can fit into the same space (no larger) with better power/sound?

Well, the 7 speakers are powered by a small amp. The amp in my 07 is under the steering wheel behind a panel. They might have moved it.

I really don't think it's that bad. Some will beg to differ.

Polly filling the soundbar/speaker enclosures helps a lot I'm hearing.

This is a popular option also.
