Upgraded from my '04 X to a new 2012 JK. Took delivery today in what is the biggest snow storm of the winter season. Good day for traction control and 4WD!

White Sport models are hard to find ... the closest model like the one I bought today is 45 minutes away. The only reason this one was available is that a guy ordered it, but changed his mind once the dealer got it on the lot. I could have bought a Sahara, but the all-white was a bit too much white.

Would like to change the cloth seats over to leather and have heated seat kits installed; I have no plans to go off-roading (I know, right?) .... so no winches, lift kits or huge tires. I just want to tool around town in a vehicle that makes me actually feel happy to be behind the wheel. Nothing else anymore really gives me that feeling.

Is that wrong?

Nothing wrong with that! I just brought mine home TODAY too! I have no plans of off roading much either, so don't want to add all that equipment and weight. I agree on tooling around town feeling happy behind the wheel! I drove home from the dealer in Friday rush hour traffic, and my ear to ear grin was so big I didn't even notice the 2 million other cars! My Jeep is the reverse of yours and triple black. First modification will be the MOPAR Sahara style side steps. I would have had them installed at the dealer today, however they wanted $787.00 for the pair, and Quadratec has them for $310.00 so I'll be ordering and installing them myself! Second mod may be a set of the deep tinted SoftTop windows, we'll see how it is when summer rolls around. LOL

Looks like TODAY was a good day to buy a new Jeep! :)

Don't order them from Quadratec either. You can find take offs on Jeep forums or Craigslist all day long for 1/3 of that price, or lower. Guy across the street from me scored a 2dr set off Craigslist for $50.

I paid $200 for my mint condition 4dr version. Bought them off a guy on JK-F. And I know I overpayed and actually wish I would have never got them. Want something stronger with better protection now. Only reason I bought them in the first place was for my wife, kids, and parents.

Hey thanks for the tip! Wow, I don't know why I didn't think of Craigslist or the Classifieds on here! That's why we join a forum. Sweet!!
