A tire shop can move them to the new tires/wheels if you want or you can get rid of them.

I made mine into a necklace and gave em to my gf. Needless to say, she was pleased.

You can hide one in your friends car. His light and alarm will go off, it will drive him crazy.

I moved mine to the new wheels and tires, it is a safety feature worth having to me.

I had 2.5 Teraflex lift, 35 tires and wheels plus some other things done at 4 Wheel Parts. They moved the sensors from the old tires to the new tires and wheels and recalibrated speedo all at the same time.

You may have a hard time finding a tire shop to remove them. I'm saving up for new wheels and tires and just had a TPMS valve stem break off. I wanted to just put a rubber stem on there and no shop in my immediate area would do it. Had to replace it. I was told the only way to get around putting new senors in my eventual new rims is to drop off the new rims and tires at the shop. I will have to pick them up, take them home, and put them on my Jeep myself. The shops are terrified of the BIG BROTHER guidelines for TMPS sensors.

I don't know if it works or not, but you have to admit, it's a great idea. I don't know how many TPMS modules that the computer can see at one time, and I couldn't find out with a search. It can see at least 5. Maybe 6!!

So you try this (we don't all have a spare TPMS module sittin around, you do) and let us know it this works.

Or you can come to discount tire on Oracle Rd, just north of Prince Rd, Tucson, AZ and ask them to do it. That's who did mine.

Also, why would you have to drop the "rims" and tires off and then pick them up if you have to put them on the jeep yourself?

According to the owners manual it should not work. The owners manual says a low spare tire will not cause a low tire warning. I assume this would be similar.

Shop does not want the liability of mounting the tire/wheel combo without TPMS on my Jeep. If they just mount tires onto wheels and let me physically install them on my Jeep, I become the one in violation of these stupid guideline.

My spare was low and it made the light come on, it took me a week to figure it out, freaking technology are people incapable of seeing that their tires are low
