Just Bought 2013 JK Unlimited

Finally pulled the trigger on a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sport two weeks ago. Before the Jeep, I had a Mazda 3 hatchback, then gave that to my sister and got a 2008 Subaru WRX. Moved for my job two summers ago and wanted an SUV, so ended up with a 2006 Ford Explorer. Got rid of the Explorer and got the Wrangler. Couldn't be happier.

It's my DD, so there isn't much I have planned for it. Just the occasional fun in the mud and trips to the mountains. All I'm really planning on is a hard top, new wheels and tires, and a new head unit.

Ha I just ordered the 10th anniversary rubicon.

Looks like Subaru WRX owners grew up and Subaru didn't give them a forester or legacy STI to move to so we are finding cool capable cars elsewhere.

Congrats on the the new ride, I love the white.

Dalearyous - WRX was a lease, so I could only return it to a dealership.

Only things I miss about the WRX are the speed and handling. However, you don't get a Wrangler for those things. Either way, I'm very happy with the new car. Can't wait for the summer to ride around with the top down!

Wow, talk about a dumb move.

Okay, seriously, I had a 2005 STi and it was lost in a bad car wreck. I got a 2012 JKUR in its place. Yeah, I miss the STi like crazy but I'm loving my Rubicon.

I had an opportunity to replace it with a 2012 STI (and thought long and hard about it...) but I'd been wanting a Rubicon for quite some time (I just didn't wanna give up my STi for one...) and figured if I'd bought a 2012 STI, I'd still be gassing for a Rubicon, so I figured I'd just buy the Rubicon.

I still get a little emotional and tear up a bit when I see another World Rally Blue 2005 STi (with gold wheels) but I don't regret my decision at all for going with the Rubicon. The STi was a bit cramped inside, plus the suspension was harsh, and I just really wanted to be more comfortable. With the STi, most things were a double-edged sword; the harsh ride, tighter interior, stiff seats, etc.

Next up on the "To Get" list will be another STI, so I'm saving my money. The Rubicon will be my daily driver and the STI will be my weekend fun.

It was tough to let go of the STi but I drove the hell out of it for almost 4 yrs and got 75% of what I paid for it when I traded it in, that made the decision a bit easier.

Ironic you got rid of the car with one of the highest resale values for an SUV/truck with one of the highest resale values.
