Let me know what you think, real question is do i need to change the gears out and if so how do i do this gimme a website please to tell me how. i dont know if its stock but i dont know if the previous owner did it and i dont want to ruin this jeep... its my daily driver and will be doing alot of off roading probably. Welcome to the forum I'm a newbie myself... Nice looking jeep. I think you will need more lift if you go off roading much. Doesn't look like there is much room for any flexing. But I'm sure some of the forum experts will let you know for sure..

yes this is a seriouse post. why exactly did i get ripped off? the rims are 900 for the set i found online and the 37s i found online for about 1400 for the set. i figure that with the 30 thousand dollar vehicle i got a hell of a deal. please explain. do i need to increase my gear ratio or anything? i have a grill guard on it too... will upload more pics later.

If your gears are still stock then your acceleration is going to go down like the Titanic. Re-gearing would help but it cost some $$$ and a lift to fix how close the tires are is some more $$$. That's a great looking Jeep but it needs to be functional to work best for what you are going to use it for. If your not really going to go off road much then one option is to put some smaller rims and tires on there. You could avoid an expensive re gearing and lift to make your Jeep more functional. Those tires look like they would rub for sure on full wheel lock or when flexing off road currently. They look really close to your wheel base and bumpers.

Just some advice, check out getting 32" tires with 15" crager soft rims. Goodyear Duratrac AT and BFG AT tires would be killer and way more functional than whats on there now. If you changed them out you could use your vehicle like you say as a daily driver or you could seriously go off road too with that set up.

Congrats on your new Jeep and welcome to WF!

What they mean is that not many people like 22" rims on a Wrangler. 18" is only tolerated because they're standard on the Sahara. Anything bigger is looked down upon.

Gears I probably would go with 5.13 for a manual tranny and 5.38 with a auto for the 37 inch tires.

Don't worry about what you paid. As long as your happy with it that's all that matters. Nice looking rig. Why don't you post a big picture so I can see those 22's.

You paid what you wanted and were comfortable with. However looking at the picture in the profile the wheels look to big for the vehicle to be any use off road at all. And with the poor gas mileage not much use on road so I do not get what it is good for. But hay I am old and do not understand everything. Also did you get a spare?
