Just changed oil now engine seems louder

Well after doing my first oil change myself I can say at least with the wrangler I'm not paying for a change ever again. Now the dilemma. Because I driv so many miles a day (around 100) I went with mobile 1 5w-20 snythetic and mobile 1 oil filter. Seems like the engine is now slightly louder and I guess ticking. Oil level is perfect so it's not low. I know sometimes these jeeps may not do great with synthetics but I figured I would try first. Do I leave it be till next scheduled change or take the loss and change back to the conventional oil now or could it be something else I'm missing.

Louder at cold startup, or at normal operating temperature on highway?

goto 5w30 or 10w30. 5w20is too thin, will start to burn oil, check often.

Mobil 1, would not be my first choice, but synthetic oil will not make your engine louder, but in some cases it will make it quieter, because of it's superior flow characteristic's..........
As to would I dump the Mobile 1 and go back to Conventional, NO! Unless it has changed, Mobile 1 isn't recommended by Chrysler/Jeep. But maybe that has changed, I would definitely look into it, particularly if your engine is still in warranty. Either way, why drain new oil, run it out to the next oil change and adjust Brands if needed.

Its all about the valvoline premium conventional. My jk has the quietest motor ive ever heard. The transmission is a different story though lol

I had 6 quarts of 0w30 Castrol Edge full synthetic oil in my garage and decided to use it on my JK. It's soo quiet and call me crazy but it feels more responsive.

I would stick to the factory recommendation of 5w-20. There are more reasons than just economy that they recommend it. I've used 5w-20 Mobil One for 102k miles. No issues other than burning a qt every couple thousand miles.

It might not be the oil, it could possibly be the filter. Did you change filter brands?

So the collective automotive, mechanical, and petroleum engineers with Chrysler and the petroleum industry, all with M.S., Ph.D., and Sc.D. degrees and decades of experience, know less combined than your expertise?

Mine is a bit louder at start up and quiets down thereafter.

Maybe mind playing tricks on me seemed ok today. When it seemed kinda loud yesterday it wasn't at start up but after it had warmed up and was sitting at idle. I'll just keep eye on everything for a while

Considering they can't seem to get some issues right, even after years, maybe-just maybe-they're motivated not by perfection but by something else.
