Just finished Plasti Dipping my Grill! How to!

Taking off the front grill is about a 5 min job. Just pop out some plastic pins, take out the turn signals and your done. I then took the grill into my bath tub for a good cleaning. (They fit perfect in a tub and its a pretty sterile environment.) After that, I dried it off and started painting. Make sure it's dry!!!!!! I used 5 coats of Plasti Dip and was done. Put the grill back on and it looks great!

How many cans did it take to do 5 coats?

How long did you have to wait before applying your next coat? Or how long did you allow for dry time between coats? It turned out great!

I only used 2 cans. I probably could have got away with just one.

I actually waited about 20-30 minutes between coats. When you first spray it, it will look like its "bubbling up," but when it dries it looks fantastic!

Looks good. I did the same to mine, except I peeled the PlasticDip off the "Jeep" on top. The chrome looks good against the flat black.
