Just picked up my 2010 Wrangler

I just picked up my 2010 Wrangler base. Now it's time to get some new wheels and tires! I traded my 07 Unlimited, which was lifted and 33", so its sucks being this low to the ground!
I know I asked this before, but I need some reassurance. Due to cash being tight, I would like to put 33" with 17" wheels on without doing the lift. I know some of you guys out there have done this successfully. But some of you out there seem to think I may have rubbing issues. So, what do you guys think? Does anyone who has done this, have any rubbing issues? Does the tires hit over potholes or speed bumps? I plan to lift 2", but if I can get away with just the tires and wheels for now, it would be great!
I plan to get some procomp 17" wheels, but the ones I like only have 4.25 spacing, is that enough for 12.5 x 33"?

I dont have a jk but ive heard there stock tire size is sometimes a 32 inch tire and that you could go 33's but might need to trim the flares a bit but the jk flares can look ba if you trim them just right i think a guy on here with a red one trimmed his and has 33's on it. It looks good.

Ok here is what I have found out, but I haven't confirmed it yet myself. I just bought a brand new sport last week. I found online a stock Rubicon suspension for cheap so I picked it up. Supposedly it will give me an extra 1.5 inches and should run 33's from reading this forum. I am actually looking to only run stock Rubicon wheels when I find them so I figure it would be good.

I measured my stock 16's and they were like 28 inches tall and really puny in there. I don't think I would have any trouble running 31's as is, but 33's I think would be a stretch. But as I said I think with the Rubicon suspension I should be able to run the 33's no problem.

I would throw the 33's on there see how they look. If it rubs it will be close. Keep watching craigslist for some Rubicon springs and shocks and then add those and you will be golden.

I will confirm this hopefully this weekend. If I don't find my tires soon my jeep is going to look super funny with Rubicon springs and sport wheels.

My 2010 Wrangler Sport is running Khumo 33x12.5 tires on 17 inch wheels with no lift and I have no rubbing problems.

It's the same situation with your 2010--use "search"

I had a 2 1/2" lift on the 07. I liked it, but if I can do the tires without the lift for now, it would help my financial situation.

Looks like I'm going to give it a try (33"x12.5" on 17 procomp 98's) Now these wheels say 4.25" backspacing, my previous jk unlimited, I ran same size tire with 4.5" backspacing. Do you guys think the 1/4" difference will affect the fit? No lift.
