Just pulled the trigger in 255/80/17 BFG KM2's

Just got a set of 255/80/17 bfg km2's.
Great tire! No rubbing so far. 33.3 tall and 10 wide.

Wow! I was wondering about how those would look being narrow but tall? They look good though and you picked a great tire for sure! Congrats!

Can you give us some input on how they affected your power and MPG? Any difference when off roading or driving normally on the pavement from the stock 255/75/17? I don't know many people with this tire size on their JKs so I'm very curious. Thanks

I'm liking this I was looking for a tall but narrow tire. I would like something in the 10.5 wide by 34" range. This is getting closer i guess.

Everyone refers to them as narrow but aren't they the same width as the stock KM's?

I love the width of my stock tire and it fits perfect in places. I wish they were two inches taller and this is getting close to it.

They are the same width but they are 33.3" vs 32.1" so they seem narrow based on being taller but not any wider. I've never seen this size in person though to attest whether it looks as narrow as they do in pics on here. Most tires places don't carry them, you have to order them so it's hard to walk in and check them out in person. It's interesting that if you check out that size on either tirerack.com or discounttiredirect the KM2s are the only choice. Not a bad tire at all to be the only one if true.

Here's a pic of the 255/80/17 KM2s from the front. See what we mean?

Nice stance from the front. Do you have a side shot, or an angled shot that shows the height in relation to the sidewall. for looks, i might prefer a wider tire with that kind of height. Thanks.

I just stumbled across this tire size when I was looking on tire rack for some new skins to go on my AEV Pintler Argent Gray wheels. I used to have some 34/9.5/15 super swampers on a 71CJ5 and I dig the look of tall and skinny.

I looked at the 285/70/17 KM2's but they are actually a tick shorter than the 255/80/17 KM2 and they don't make a KM2 in 285/75/17. I think the perfect tire would be a 285/80/17 KM2 that would be a the equivalent of a 35/11.5/17 and that, in my opinion, would be the perfect size.

Costco has 255/80/17 KM2's for $226 a piece. I think these would look smokin on my 09 2Dr. Black Rubi with the AEV Pintler wheels in dark gray.

Thoughts??????

I had to order the KM2's in this size, my Costco doesn't stock these, so I won't know how this combo looks till late next week.

I think it's going to look good and function even better but only time will tell. Waiting another week is going to really suck!!

...wow, they look skinny! probably get good gas mileage though.

...i run bfg km2 265/70r17 and they're just shy of 32" in diameter. smaller than the stock rubber but as close to that stock size as i could get.

...here's an older pic.
