Just received a recall notice

...for the front fender liners. (Recall K13) 2009 JKU.

Anyone else get this already? Am I late to the party?

If you've done this, how long did it take the dealer to get the parts and do the work?

Thanks.

Yes you're late to the party

They don't need any parts for the fix, they just cut part of the fender liner away from the brake line.

Shouldn't take them more than 20-30min, or you can do it yourself.

You can doit yourself in less than 10 minutes, but

If your fender liners are coming loose and slipping down. or some of the plastic "screws" are popping out--see dealer

Mine is solid and I took some tinsnips and cut channels around each brake line--also make sure your brake lines are "leakfree"--ENTIRELY--, if they aren't now is the time to showit to the dealer--free fix !!

in and out of the dealer for the repair in about 30 mns. Take it there because there may be other updates or things they can tell you about too.

my 08 had one.....it took the dorky dealer nearly 2 hours of fumbling to get me back on the road.

Don't think I'll be going back to them for other stuff.
I hate getting 'processed'.

If you check the sticky thread you would see that you can go to www.Jeep.com, type in your VIN and see if the recall applies to your vehicle.

I just got recall notice for my 08 JKU Sahara. Trans line where the fitting crimps to line may weep fluid and K13 wheel liners. Crap I just got my lift and wheels on two days ago. I don't want them touching my wheels

Half day at the local dealer for the 2007. One reason I drove 10 miles to order the 2012.

I'm waiting on the 3.6 VVT recall where they remove it and slip in a 6.4 Lt Hemi SRT 8. But I don't think its gonna happen anytime soon.
