Just stopped running

Hello, just joined this forum to help a friend with a Jeep Wrangler (1998) with a 2.5 / 4.

It just stopped running. We're thingking fuel pump. what do you think?

Is there some way to test the relay etc.?

Appreciate your help. I am a member of other forums involving the vehicled I own and love so I knew this was the way to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks,
Dave

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? Is everything cranking over normally?

Next I would check out the fuses, and there's a relay box in the fender well I think on the driver's side.

If u suspect fuel pump, find that valve on the fuel rail and push on it with a screw driver or something while someone else cranks. That's my poor man's fuel pressure check lol! If pressure's there, it isnt that pump so I'd move over to inspecting the injectors.
