Anyone pulled the trigger on these yet? Looking like it has anti-flicker tech built in. No need to buy extra harnesses and a 23 year warranty is tempting.

$500 and no harness is tempting? I paid $390 shipped for Truck Lites including the anti flicker harness.

LED headlights designed for the JK and 23 year warranty is tempting. Price is not that big of a deal.

I did not know that the harness was the anti flicker technology that they claim in the description.
Thanks for the link.

I just ordered these for $493 on eBay and should be getting them within a week. Overall what really sold me over the TLs or other similar LED headlights in this price range was the 23 year manufacturer warranty. Hard to beat that!

I purchased and installed a week ago. Love them. I plan to take some video of them at night and post so others can get an idea of what to expect compared to stock, TL's and JW's. Got mine from Amazon for $429. Very, very happy with them.

Anything to post yet? I bought a set of trucklights for my TJ and was somewhat disappointed. They rock on high beams, but the "x" artifacts on low beams is beyond annoying.

Nice, looking forward to it. Have you checked out anyone trucklights? I'd be curious to see pics of your KC's in the same spot with some trucklights.

Unfortunately, no. I don't know anyone around me with Trucklites for a side by side comparison.

I installed my KCs a little over a week ago and love them. A couple of nights later I met my buddy who has TLs (which I also loved) and we parked side-by-side. We both agreed that the KCs were somewhat noticeably brighter and they both had a very similar beam width. The biggest difference to me though was the KCs do not have a noticeable X-pattern. That and the (much) longer warranty were big factors in me choosing the KCs.

*** and NO I don't have pics !! sorry

From what I'm reading I think I would probably have bought the KCs had they been on the scene when I bought my TLs.

That said, I'm pretty pleased with the TLs.....

KC LED Headlights

I just installed mine - they look absolutely amazing!

The installation was pretty much plug-n-play without any hassle. The beams are very bright and narrow but without causing much glare on the sides.

...and with a 23 year warranty - very hard to beat!

OK, took the video camera out for a spin tonight. Posted about a 12 minute video of some rural roads with street lights, some without and then some highway driving.

Good examples of high and low beam on road with no other ambient lighting between the 2:30 and 3:30 points. Also, just before 3:30 I'm able to stop, cycle between high and low beams down a straight road, turn lights off and back on to give a good indication of the output.

Around the 8:00 minute point I get onto the highway area.

You get a very good sense of the beam pattern throughout the video. Very nice. Also, note that no flashes from oncoming vehicles. Very early on, some ass hat coming toward me leaves his on, but otherwise, no indication that these are bothersome to oncoming traffic.

I have to say, after running with these for two weeks, they're outstanding and I have no regret at all.

Wow, that looks good. I don't see those annoying "x"'s that my Trucklights have on low beam. Looks like KC evidently has a better refined reflector set up in theirs. Looks like I found the lights I'm going to put in the JK.

Thanks for the vid Nuke!

No, that's a cutoff line from the lights.

The areas where you'll notice some shadowing are high right (off the road) and the shadow you see about 5-10 feet in front of the Jeep. I really noticed that shadow you describe the first couple of nights, but don't notice them at all now. It's really down road of your sight line, so once you've driven a couple of times at night, it becomes like white noise. I was very paranoid the first week since these things are so bright, but I haven't had a single flashback since installing. Now that I'm completely used to them, I don't notice any shadowing and am no longer concerned about oncoming traffic.

I've never seen Trucklites in person, but I've seen video of the x pattern that everyone finds annoying. These have none of that.

When you're on low beam, you have a nice cutoff and the adjustment has a flood pattern across both lanes and off the sides of the road for the first 20-30 feet in front of the Jeep. Fills in much like the driving lights (my driving lights are NOT on in the video). When you flip to high beam, the pattern narrows in tighter in the short range and shoots out a bit higher and longer. Almost like adjusting a mag light from wide dispersion to spot. You can see a great example of what I'm describing going from low and high around the 2:43 mark.

Personally, if the KCs were available at the time, I would have chose them over TLs. I'm still happy with the TLs, but from what I've seen, the KCs are brighter and have a better beam pattern.

Anyone running the KC leds notice the light banding pattern that appears at the bottom-most spread of the light? I mean the maybe 5 feet to the left and right on the road? Not complaining about them b/c they are still great, I just didn't know if this was normal. I'll try to grab a picture when it gets dark to illustrate what I mean.

I installed mine last weekend. I know the pattern you are describing and have noticed it as well. Given the price and quality ($560 shipped in Canada from Amazon.ca) I'm super happy with them. I still need to fine tune the alignment slightly.

On a side note, for any Canadians looking to install these, they will still flicker in DRL mode with the harness. The stock DRLs are programmed to run at half voltage which gives the LEDs a seizure. I've ordered a Flashcal to reprogram the DRLs to either fogs or signal lights. My temporary work around was keeping the lights on Auto and covering the light sensor on the dash with some duct tape.

I haven't adjusted mine yet. I only have a 1.5" leveling kit though. Figure if I start getting flashed I'm adjust them down a bit, but no flashes yet ...I recall seeing an adjustment guide on here somewhere.

Picked up my Flashcal today and there is no option to reprogram DRLs. Does anyone know if this is typical? The superchips website says DRL for 07-14, but in the instructions inside the box it says 07-12.
