Anyone running the Kentrol door bushings? Wondering how they compare to the others that cost $20 more.

Kentrol Delrin Bushings

I purchased the 8 on Amazon. The Kentrol's were a better price than the TMR's. That said... the tool worked great and 7 of the 8 plastic delrin bushings went in perfectly. However, the 8th bushing had a crack on the lip of the plastic delrin bushing. I'm not sure if it happened on install or was that way. Contacted Kentrol via their website and provided them with proof of purchase... I am now waiting to see if they send me a replacement. Will report back if they do.

Hey guys. Just an update. Kentrol stood behind their product. They sent me a new bushing and I installed it. I will tell you, Delrin bushings are a MUST. Door came off so easily now. I had greased them up as well. When I took the old cracked Delrin out it cracked further when I took it out by the lip. Not that you ever need to remove the Delrin bushings but if you do, I’d recommend using the tool or removing from below the bushing vs grabbing the lip from above. Happy with the Kentrol customer service.

I'm using Delrin - they work perfectly. No experience with the other brands.

I have them on my 2dr. Definitely easier removal and reinstall. Come spring door removal time again, I will come up with something to hold them in. When removing doors they want to slide out. Not a deal breaker, I'm sure I can shim or glue. Just don't want to lose one.

I installed the Kentrol via Quadratec and they seem good to me for what they are. Easy install with the tool that was provided plus a good framing hammer to knock out the old. Door swing is much quicker and they slide off and on very easy.

I got Kentrol liners off of Amazon, install was a breeze because I jumped on this while mine was relatively new (9 or 10 months old). My only gripe is one or 2 tend to come out when I remove the doors. I have to watch closely so I don't lose one. Constantly worried one will come out when wheelin.

So there’s an immediate difference between the two price points. The thinner one is the DEF $11 version. The one installed is the Kentrol. Looks like the DEF is just molded plastic as you can see the flashing on the second pic. The Kentrol is much more robust and looks machined from a Delrin block or something.
Will there be a functional difference? Doubt it.

Says in the TMR instructions that you should be able to push the Delrin bushing in with your thumb. If not, use a small file to clean out any corrosion from the hinge. If you have to hammer the bushing in it will compress the bushing and therefore be too tight on the hinge pin making door removal more difficult and prevent the door from swinging smoothly.
